Lovely breakfasts - rooms ok - cramped bathroom - very clean - staff were excellent - hotel is not new, but it presents very well - good location - not the Ritz, but not the pits by any standard.

This hotel is a very short walk from Lake Bled, but is set back from the main road so that it's quiet. It has a large free parking area in front. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful - outstanding! Our room was very clean and comfortable, with everything that we needed. Breakfast included everything to start the day well. Lake-side cafes and restaurants are nearby. It's easy to rent bikes and go for a ride around Lake Bled in under and hour. We'd love to go back to this hotel anytime.

Lovely pool to relax in with amazing views, walkable to the lake, all the local sights and restaurants and was quiet. Aircon did not appear to work was the only downside.

The gentleman who checked us in was so warm and welcoming and was humorous. Hotel is bright and modern. Mere metres to central Bled whilst being in a quiet setting. Excellent gym but it’s not open before 9am

It was a good hotel, perfect breakfast with a large variety. However, the toilet in the room looks relatively old compared to the room and the deco elsewhere. My toilet seat is broken and there are some stains on it as well

I really loved my stay here The staff at reception were so friendly and welcoming, they packed me a takeaway breakfast as I was leaving at 6am for a hike Very clean and great facilities I stayed on a room on the top floor which was quiet and good for sleeping

Hotel Kompas was the perfect hotel for our 2 night stay in Bled. Check-in was easy, staff are all friendly. Breakfast was good - great selection of food and all tasty. The hotel is in a good location, easy to walk around and experience Bled.

Good location, staff very helpful, breakfast was good also with plenty of selection. Loved the pool and hot tub room. Bedroom was a bit tired though, air con was super hot even on a cool setting and room suffered because of it.

Reasonably nice, not sure it warrants the price

The hotel was very nice and clean, and has a great view of lake bled. It is very well located, close to the lake and walking trails, plenty of food and transport options, and honestly one of the better breakfast buffets I've seen. The main negatives were that the Aircon did not work at all, and the rooms were very hot. The shower was also very tiny, with a flappy paddle water/heat control that sticks out into the shower. Even as a quite small guy I was constantly hitting the paddle, changing the temp or pressure.

Excellent Hotel

Booked as a two night stopover in Bled after a walking trip in the Julian Alps. Booked two twin rooms, both very clean, comfortable, practical and quiet. Breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of cold and hot dishes to pick from. The hotel is very well located with views of Lake Bled, the mountains and castle. The swimming pool and hot tub were a welcome relief after the walking trip and it was a great place to relax and wind down. It's a short walk to the town with it's many restaurants and bars.,

Really great place to stay, slightly noisy

We had a lovely stay here! Buffet dinner got us right back on our feet after we had a long day of driving behind us. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean if not a little poorly isolated. However do not expect the promised lake view .. the hotel is literally too far away & in between too many buildings to see the lake in Bled.

The stay was satisfactory. The bedrooms were newly renovated, but the bathrooms were not. The cleanliness was below average, as we had stained sheets and gum on the carpet. The air conditioner did not work in the first room, but we were kindly moved. Pedra, the masseuse, was excellent!! My friend and I felt very rejuvenated after.

Mucb better than I had antipated.

The hotel was better than i had expected. Recently refurbished bedroom and breakfast room. Bathroom was original but immaculately clean and lots of hot water from a powerful shower. Nice towels and bed linens. Breakfast was a great choice with freshly brewed coffee and tea options. The locstion is ideal for the lake and for town. Just a few minutes walk from both. Plenty of free parking too which is a blessing in Bled. If you are considerinh booking do it. We had a lake view room on the 2nd floor.

We loved the traditional nature of the property and of course its position in relation to the lake. It is really handy for everything and the views off the balcony are excellent. I enjoyed a nice swim although it is just a pool for relaxation really and not large enough for proper swimming. Hot tub with a view lovely though. Breakfast was really good with lots of variety. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evenings as we wanted to explore the town, so can’t comment on food more generally. A couple of lovely little touches that we really appreciated - a little leaving gift at reception and small postcards on reception that that hotel will mail for you free of charge. Overall a really nice stay - we would come again.

Lovely location but uncomfortable rooms

The hotel is in a perfect location for Lake Bled. I had a nice room, recently refurbished (excluding the bathroom). But it was extremely warm - the ac controls were useless. There was a portable unit but it was extremely loud. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have slept on. The staff were, however, very helpful when I had any questions.

Oh Hotel Kompass. What a mixed bag you were. But you crossed the line when you ordered our airport taxi telling us 70 euros and when we got here, the driver wanted 90. When we called to talk to you, refused to discuss, and when we said “ it will go on trip advisor” said “ do what you like” and hung up. Wow! zero customer service. Hotel Kompass is old and does not live up to the pictures. Room is badly designed, too hot with air conditioning that worked by the curtain only. Doors not working. Staff were smoking under our balcony. The hotel looked tired. Can’t fault breakfast. Some staff kind , others rude.Pool and hot tub ok with nice view. Staying here was not relaxing or great. But close to lake and shops. There must be better hotels in Bled .
