"I can’t say enough about this hotel. It was beautiful, elegant, and historic. Every part of it was wonderfully decorated, including the breakfast room which overlooked a garden. The room was spacious and well appointed with many thoughtful touches. The staff was very friendly and thoughtful and helped us with every arrangement necessary. I only wish our stay had been longer."

"We booked an ‘arty’ room, really comfy bed and nice & quiet. Secure overnight parking, ideal stop off point from France to UK. A little out of town but if it’s just a rest stop you need then it’s ideal. Really nice bar area, super dog friendly & nice food served in the restaurant (opens at 7pm and food isn’t available before that, although the lady behind the bar kindly heated us up a pizza as we were ravenous!) "The staff were excellent, the room was clean and spacious, though some drawers might have been nice. It was good that dogs were allowed in the room, but it might have been nice if, for example, we could dine outside and have the dogs with us then. The restaurant was excellent and the service friendly."
