Big Lake Hotels with Swimming Pool

"This place is under new owners and management so they are working to make improvements. I would suggest the first improvement should be to clearly mark the location of the lobby and make sure it is operating 24/7. Signs on the lobby desk telling customers to call the operator for service are inappropriate and very tacky. Lots of improvements are needed. This place is kind of threadbare and needs some TLC inside and out."

"Rooms were a bit dated but very clean. Front desk was polite. Breakfast was fair, but not very many choices."

"It was weird having tile instead of carpet in the room, but otherwise the suite was quite spacious. I had a four chair round table and a desk to work on. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was roomy"

"Stayed 6 nights arriving on a Monday for check in. The weekday breakfast included a variety of gluten free and dairy free options. I was very impressed with the choices available for me. I was disappointed when Saturday/ Sunday arrived and the breakfast options were all gluten AND dairy based. I understand differences in weekend guests but the area where the hard boiled eggs, and fresh fruit had been available all week was not in use on the weekend. The hotel was very quiet throughout the week even with the influx of travel sports families on the weekend. The hot tub was spacious and relaxing. Overall, I would recommend with the advice that breakfast on the weekend is not allergy friendly."

"We found drug paraphernalia in our room sticky spilll all over the place including on the tv remotes, foot rest and the fridge. These was something spilled in the kitchen drawers and dirty dishes in the dish washer. The walls are f the shower were smeared with something . The hot tub was out of order the clerk said it was broken for a long time now(this is one reason we chose this hotel). There were people hanging outside our window until 4am being loud and walking around looking in vehicles. We will never be back to this place!!!!!!"

"Ended up having to leave. Unbelievable unprofessional staff at check-in. Arrangement had been in place for us to pay at the property and for a late arrival the evening of check-in, approved that day. Arrived to check in and the room with my name attached had someone else in it with a $200 hold as well. Inquired about getting my name removed with someone else had checked in and was not me- staff said she must not have verified their ID and management would have to approve my name being removed, the staff member briefly left the counter to check the room and refused to give us a different room. She said you won’t be happy here you have to leave. She also did not remove my name from the room when I called the hotels corporate office I was still checked in the next morning. I demanded my name be removed from the room and the $200 hold removed under my name when I wasn’t the person utilizing the room. She said she needed management approval. We had to find another hotel at 11PM that night. Scary to say the least! uncertain we would be able to find another property with an open room so late. Another 10 minute drive to a different chain we got lucky. I filed a police report in case our money is not refunded. I would like to utilize the insurance I paid for, due to the inconvenience and for them not properly checking identification upon check in allowing some random person to be in a room with my name and credit card attached. "

"We went there specifically for the pool and they closed it mid day. Are bathroom door in room 208 dose not close. And we missed out on breakfast even thow everything was out I wasn’t aloud to grab anything till 6:30 and had to leave at 6:25. Not impressed this visit especially when there price is almost double the competition in the area"
