"The room was very clean. I was surprised and disappointed. I hadn’t brought my slippers because I did not know it was a non-carpeted surface, which made it cooler to the person walking barefooted. "Everything’s pretty good except elevator didn’t work. Another guest came by and told us while we waited. She claimed she was stuck inside for 30 minutes. Staff didn’t put up signs on the door or let us know as we came in."

"I have never stayed in such a run down nasty hotel. It’s by the highway, and you hear it loud and clear. Never again. Traveled to Winterset after leaving Des Moines stayed a a hotel called Cobblestone it was beautiful, very clean, free breakfast, great service, bar. For a few dollars more than the hotel in DesMoines. I will stay there from now on, even though it’s an hour outside of DesMoines."
