Initially unprepossessing as you drive in, but a lot of style in a classic converted farmhouse type vibe. Room was quite cramped but adequate. Food was excellent,
Choose this hotel for the parking, rooms were clean but a little dated and general tied overall, breakfast was poor with little choice although the evening meal was good.
We had a terrible start to our vacation due to a late flight, we had to catch a late train and we were unsure if we could even check in. Owner was able to help us. We’re very appreciative, this trip could’ve been awful but the owner turned it around into a good trip. Thank you.

Decent rooms. Breakfast is minimal. Owner doesn’t speak English and not very friendly or helpful!
This place is terrible. It has not had a penny spent on it in years. The room was disgusting. Mould on the mattress. Behind the room was a ramshackle dirty mess with broken bits of equipment. The pictures on the web promotion are not that of the hotel. Now taken down as a result of our complaint. The manager was rude and didn’t care. He promised through Expedia a refund if we left so we did and he tried to go back on it. Avoid call costs
Ignore comments about the manager; he is nice and friendly and his dog is super friendly so don’t be scared of a bigger dog. He clearly loves animals and loves when you have time for them. The room was clean and comfortable with shutters on the windows for peace and darkness. The bar was a bonus and we only had a starter in the restaurant because we had already eaten but wanted to sit outside.it would be nice if residents could sit anywhere but it was busy so we wouldn’t want the hotel to turn away business. All in all, we can’t fault this place surrounded by countryside and the added bonus of a swimming pool (not that we used it). Only a short drive to Bergerac which is an incredible city when you wander through the old town. Sorry we didn’t get to cuddle the dog before we left. Thank you for your hospitality.
Dishevelled property, dishevelled manager, limited drinks at the bar, no food (what food was available came in glass jars to be heated in the microwave!), no pool, not a three star as advertised. If you want a good bed for the night then that is all it has to offer really. We will never go back again, cannot recommend. We were very disappointed.

Clean and basic.
It was decent. There are safes in the rooms but ours didn’t work. When I told the owner , he said that nobody were using them anyway. I said that people probably didn’t because they were not working, although they looked brand new. He responded that they needed batteries, but they didn’t need any since nobody was using them. This is definitely the wrong answer to qualify for being customer oriented.
Some staff lacked grooming.
I am not sure what has happened to this hotel! The photos are from some time ago and show a well kept and stylish establishment . We had to double check on arrival that we were in the right place.
The grounds are overgrown and there are posted signs saying that this is to aid the bees. The general lack of upkeep to the buildings however suggests that this may be the result of general indolence on the part of the staff.
Our room was damp with mould on the walls, not properly ventilated, and contained insects on our arrival. To be fair this was cleaned the next day.
The room was very hot at night and there is no air-con. Again, to be fair we were at a time of warm weather, but probably not unique over a Dordogne summer.
We have re-checked the reviews since checking in and note that some had the same experience as us. They have received a sharpish response from the hotel and so look forward to the same!
