We arrived a day early and there was no problem letting us stay. The hosts are so friendly and attentive. The place is soo peaceful and tranquil. It's amazing & feels like you are in another world. The food was amazing the evening meal was the best we had in the 3wks of travelling.

Hidden gem with homely charm

Cozy accommodation in a quiet, peaceful spot that feels like a small neighborhood. The host was super attentive. Clean, comfortable room. Lovely outdoor table for breakfast — delicious and high quality. 10 stars for the homemade börek, based on a family recipe. Truly delicious!

Wonderful stay with an excellent host

Mel and I from Singapore we had a great stay at Sibal place. We loved the delicious Turkish meals. Sibal, the host, made for us and learnt a lot about Turkish culture. Fantastic host!

Tranquillity and friendliness

For anyone looking for peace and quietness in a hotel totally geared for personal service, then you cannot do much better than this hotel in a small Turkish village in the mountains north of Izmir.

A wonderful rustic boutique hotel/homestay in a small rural village that is located close to the ruins of Bergama and Aigai. It is run by a family and we were hosted by the charming Sibel who speaks english, is an excellent cook and has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Turkey. If you want an authentic experience you must stay here.

Amazing stay!

Loved everything about our stay. Wonderful hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. We arrived late, 10pm and they were ready and waiting with the room ready to go. Once we settled in, they offered us tea and a home made dessert. This marked a perfect beginning to my father’s and my road trip!

Going back in time.

We were very welcomed . Great hospitality. Our room was very spacious comfortable bed. Sitting area. Breakfast and dinners all nice home cooked meals. It has a nice courtyard with several sitting areas. Aldo the road to the place passing little villages ,passing wild horses and cows walking trough the village.

A hidden gem run by a mother-daughter team. We wished we had been able to stay 2 nights here. We stopped here on our way to the ruins of Pergamon (25 min drive away). The host served both dinner (lamb meatballs) and breakfast (homemade cheese) which featured all organic produce from her garden. Just delightful

Gorgeous and unique hotel

This was one of the most unique and beautiful places I have ever stayed. The owner contacted me in advance to ask when we would arrive, and she was helpful in finding a place to park and other relevant information. As others have noted, the hotel is located in a rural village. It is about a half-hour pleasant drive to beaches. We rented the family room, which was plenty big for 5 people. The room appeared even more unique and beautiful than the pictures. There were also 2 bathrooms, which was helpful. The rooms did not have AC, but the owner supplied a fan since it was summer. As others have noted, the owners are amazing. We ordered dinner at the hotel both nights and enjoyed the explanations of what each dish was. The breakfast, which was included, was my favorite. The owner described how she made the cheeses, bread, etc., and the food certainly tasted fresh and delicious. In total, the vibe at the hotel was wonderful, and we appreciated learning about Turkish culture and cuisine from the hosts. We really felt like we were staying at someone's house with the lovely hospitality. Thank you!

It is set in a small village in the mountains. Very quiet and peaceful (the cows roam the streets). The hosts are very friendly and extremely good cooks. We had a beautiful 3 course dinner for a more than reasonable price. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A wander around the village in the morning was peaceful. If you want to drink alcohol you should byo. The room was cozy and there was plenty of seating areas in the garden.

Absolutely wonderful. It’s a 25 km drive from Bergama into the mountains and worth every minute. You will pass tiny farms, lots of tractors, 21st C wind turbines and gorgeous scenery. The welcome could not be warmer to this beautiful little country guesthouse, the brainchild of ex-Istanbulis Cybel and Osgur (forgive the spelling) and Osgur’s partner. Organic produce, professional level cooking and cosy room in a 500 year-old farmhouse. Relax and learn so much about Turkish culture. Vegan/GF friendly, super accommodating, we had a fantastic 2-day stay and would love to come again.

Hidden Gem

Glad we made the decision to try something a bit different. Having the freedom of a car we headed into the mountains and received a very friendly welcome. It’s very rustic, clean and Sabil showed us great hospitality and provided wonderfully breakfast and dinner and was keen for us to try all her homegrown and homemade produce. Sabil also spoke English so we had great conversation. It was rather sad to leave, felt we’d made a friend as we hugged and said our goodbyes.

Ucra bir köyde kafa dinlemek için harika bir yer, köyün sessizliğine inanamayacaksınız, otantik ve bi kaç asırlık köy evinde kalmak anlatilamaz yaşanır. Hébergement à recommander mille fois ! Nous avons été enchantés de notre escapade. Une belle petite route nous emmène dans les montagnes, au frais (enfin de la fraîcheur !). L’accueil est excellent. L’hôtesse s’est décarcassée pour nous faire un repas rapidement car il était tard et les enfants étaient fatigués. Elle a pris en compte nos contraintes (végétarien). Résultat: un repas simple et excellent à tous points de vue! Les lits sont bons, aucun souci. La salle de bain est toute petite, mais il paraît que la chambre en a une seconde qui était en réparation.

Ailemle birlikte gittimiz bu otel tam bir harikaydı.Yüksek dağların arasında bir köy oteli..Gece geç saatte gittiğmiz için çevreyi pek algılayamadık.Sabahın ilk ışığı ile doğanın bin bir çeşit rengi ve güzelliği bizleri selamladı.Otel işeletmecileri harika insanlar ilgi ve alakaları için çok teşekkürler ederiz. Det var en fantastisk upplevelse att få bo i detta hotel, ca 500 år grekiska stenhus. Vår värdinna var fantastisk. Hon talade bra engelska och svarade tålmodigt på alla våra frågor. Vi åt en mycket välsmakande middag gjord på huvudsakligen egenodlade och egentillverkade ingredienser. Även den fina frukosten bestod i huvudsak av egenproducerade produkter. Vistelsen på detta hotell var en höjdpunkt på vår resa. Ett stort tack till vår värdinna!
