Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Unique hotel with very cool antique furniture, which was a nice touch. Very interesting decor and lots of attention to detail as well. Our stay felt like being transported back in time! Dinner here was a culinary experience. The chef and staff were excellent and the meal was superb. And breakfast was awesome! It’s important to note that the food is also locally sourced and homemade, and delicious too! Only drawback was that the beds and pillows weren’t very comfortable - stiff mattress and pillows.

Boutique Hotel Schluessel was perfect for a remote getaway. The staff are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean and there are lots of amenities including a self service mini bar, hairdryers and drinking water faucets in the rooms. Our room was warm in the heat of the summer but we were provided with fans which kept the room cool. Would recommend eating at the hotel restaurant - a beautiful setting for dinner and fresh ingredients used. The breakfast was simple but lovely and the hotel went to effort to make sure we knew where all the ingredients were sourced from. It felt like an authentic Swiss countryside experience. The location is quite remote but easily accessible by frequent 311 busses. There is a short but steep walk up hill to the hotel but we got quite used to this by the end of our trip!

Fantastic stay

Concierge incredibly helpful - Connie was a lovely human being. The restaurant for both breakfast & dinner was delightful. Every detail of the hotel had so much care and love. We adored all of the quirky furnishings and the artwork too. A lovely stay - wish we could’ve had longer!

The staff was outstanding, kind and helpful. Beautiful facility. Charming dining room. Great breakfast. Only suggest an extension plug from the outlet under the center of the headboard to one or both sides of the bed to charge a phone next to the bed.

Leider hat uns das sehr harte Bett schlecht schlafen lassen und der tropfende Wasserhahn die ganze Nacht war auch nicht so prickelnd. Aber Essen, Service und das sehr freundliche Personal war Topp.

Idyllischer, sympathischer Ort

Idyllisches Hotel mit schönen, individuellen und komfortablen Zimmern. Alles ist sehr praktisch organisiert, der Service sympathisch, v.a. beim Frühstück. Leider haben wir am Abend nicht im Restaurant gegessen. Es geniesst einen sehr guten Ruf in der Region. Meine Begleitung sprach Englisch, die Kommunikation war nur bedingt möglich. Ein toller Ort, um den Touristenmassen zu entfliehen und doch sehr gut gelegen. Mit dem Schiff z.B. wenige Minuten nach Vitznau mit Anschluss auf die Rigi.

stay was great! Hosts were lovely and very helpful in both accommodating our late check in and making sure we were fed. We booked last minute so we were not able to make reservations for the restaurant downstairs. The room has no a/c so we had the windows open to try and catch a breeze and had to use ear plugs to drown out the restaurant patrons because they were loud and it was late (midnight). The breakfast was AMAZING. We would stay here again if we returned to this area of Switzerland.

Unfriendly man in the reception

They charge me more when I arrived very bad man in the reception he shouting with me many spider in the room I don’t think I can stay her again
