We had an overnight stay the rooms are beautiful and that’s where it ends. Small mattresses, definitely not a queen size mattress. No water in the rooms was a huge drawback, as we were unable to shower or brush teeth before our departure.
The Braai provided was not value for money. R300 per person was exorbitant, especially as the meat was terribly tough and chicken dry and overcooked. The cheese cake was actually custard in a glass
Lovely lodge with attentive staff. The manager called to confirm arrival time so that our dinner would be freshly prepared. Room was spacious and comfortable but could do with an upgrade, especially the bathroom. Overall, would definitely visit again.
The place in itself is okay but the staff and owners ruin it totally. When checking in i was told that the checkout is 10 o'clock sharp. When I asked to stay an hour longer the answer was hard "no". Only when I showed the their own confirmation where it says that the checkout is 11 was i allowed to stay to 11 "as en exception". However the same hard deadlines do not seem to apply for the staff themselves. I was made to make a booking for breakfast in the evening with exact time when I will have it. When I came in the morning I was met with a surprised face. It took 30 min to make a basic omelette. There is no hair dryer in the room so it took 15 more minutes to check that there is really no hair dryer there and get one for me from another room. The owner (an old and unpleasant gentlemen) wanted me to use right there in the reception and was apparently surprised when I told him that I need to take it back to my room and use it after shower. Then he didn't try to hide that he was sure I was going to steal the hair dryer. I guess the photo of the message in the room - with four exclamation marks - gives an idea what sort of people run this place.

An ok stay
The staff went out of their way to help us to have a business meeting. The breakfast was ok and our beds were very low and not too comfy.
After a journey of 1000km by car, we were welcomed warmly by Sandra and her staff. Our room (No. 3) was huge - and very, very comfortable. Dinner was fantastic - and, yes, we recommend the generous portion of lamb chops. A genuinely enjoyable stop-over.
Sehr hübsches, ansprechendes Hotel. Wir hatten ein Cottage gebucht und waren damit sehr zufrieden.
Das Frühstück war sehr gut.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen.
