Everyone at the hotel were so helpful and kind. Especially Jasmine at the hotel reception was so wonderfully cheerful and lovely, she let us choose our own music to play when we were the only customers in the lobby bar. The hotel breakfast was really delicious and had a lot of options, and it only cost 15e! If you asked, you could also get gluten-free bread. The train station is very close by, so it was easy to get to Basel where we were at the Eurovision Song Contest. My sister and I recommend this hotel, it's really good for the price. Greetings from Finland!

Prima overnachtingsplek voor op doorreis

Prima overnacht, nette kamer en degelijk ontbijt. Wel even de auto leeggehaald omdat de buurt wat verlaten was en er door lokale mensen gezegd werd dat er gestolen werd aan de grens.

Second stay at Base 1

I first stayed at Base 1 just before the Covid pandemic. Excellent hotel, lovely rooms and wonderful staff. A few hundred meters from the Swiss border. If visiting Basel in Switzerland, why pay almost 3x to stay in Basel ? Easy bus & tram rides into Basel, although i use a car. Great little hotel & I would highly reccomend ! Excellent !

We liked it. The breakfast time and place was not very clear. In the information of the hotel they told it was in an other hotel at walking distance. But that wasnt true, it was in the same hotel we saw when we left the hotel

Es war ok allerdings waren wir zu 4, 2 e Erwachsene ein kleinkind und ein baby und nur ein Bett. Es war ziemlich klein für uns 4. Außerdem konnten wir leider nicht direkt einschlafen da unter uns ein imbiss war und dieser bis spät in die Nacht offen hatte. Die Mitarbeiter haben sehr lange draußen geredet man konnte alles hören.

Es war sehr, sehr heiss im Zimmer. Bei so einer Wetterlage und einer fehlenden bzw. nicht genutzten Beschattung wünsch man sich eine Klimaanlage. Das Zimmer lag direkt an den Bahngleisen und einem Bahnhof. Durch die regelmäßigen Züge und die Besucher des Bahnhofes war es sehr laut.

Im grossen Ganzen ok. Aufgrund des Lärms im Nachtclub nebenan wurde der Schlaf einige Male gestört. Das war nicht sehr angenehm. Natürlich kann da das Hotel auch nichts dafür, ist aber dennoch ärgerlich.

Wir waren eine Nacht im Hotel nicht im Haupthaus sondern gegenüber wo untendrunter eine Bar/Kneipe war man konnte garnicht richtig erkennen wo der Einganh war. Noch dazu direkt im Eingang standen 2 Große Wägen für die Wäsche/Handtücher. Oben am Zimmer angekommen war der Eindruck der Eingangstür schon sehr enttäuschen. Im Zimmer direkt rechts befand sich das Bad was ganz ok war. Es gab genug Handtücher und die Betten war sauber. Das Laminat war schlecht verlegt und gab unter den Füßen nach. Die Wände und Decken sind sehr schlecht verputzt. Ich musste mich überwinden dort zu schlafen. In der Nacht kühlten die Wände ab und die Kälte strahlte regelrecht. Wir waren in Zimmer 22

Kamer was netjes maar klein voor 3 personen. Voor doorreis zoals voor ons was het ok. Personeel was prima. Wij zaten alleen boven een lounge cafe met onze kamer, er was tot 6 uur in de ochtend muziek en lawaai. Mensen mochten daar niet binnen roken dus stond iedereen onder ons balkon. De rook kwam rechtstreeks onze kamer binnen in combinatie met het lawaai. We moesten het raam en de deur openzetten want het was zo warm binnen. Airco zou niet overbodig zijn.

Utenfor centrum, ettersom spisestedet rett v hotellet var stengt denne kvelden, var det langt til nærmeste restaurant til fots. Valgte KFC som lå rett ved, greit nok det. Hotellrommet lå i en slitt blokk rett ved bygget der resepsjonen var. Hyggelig personale i resepsjonen.
