"My mother and I stayed at this hotel when visiting the area for my uncles funeral. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and allocated us the most comfortable room with the best view of the promenade and the boats passing. The decor was nice, and the room was a decent size with a nice seating area to enjoy the view. The location was fantastic for local shops and restaurants. There were two choices for breakfast, served from 7-12. Upstairs in the garden room and then downstairs in Jo’s....

"The staff was really welcoming and even gave us a tour of the facilities. In the basement there is a kids room and also a bar with free dart and pool which we enjoyed very much in the evening. The rooms where nice and had everything we needed. The location was also very nice, close to the ocean and to some alright restaurants. Breakfast was fantastic, not overwhelming offers (which is a good thing) and what was there was of great quality. "

"The room was spacious with a small terrace where you could take your breakfast (due to heavy rain we didnt use it). We upgraded to a bigger flat, but we could have been told that it was a floor down, that is cellarfloor - just for info. The kitchen was well equipped, the shower really nice and it was great that you could stream your own app at the TV. We will definetly stay at Bobs again! Oh, and the location i Lubeck was perfect!"

The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and very professional and patient with my attempts to converse in German. "When I first arrived , I was a bit spooked because I had paid a high price for something akin to a Premier Inn/Campanile type hotel. I did buy into the concept but did so miss tea/coffee making facilities and a balcony. One I had settled , I loved the place and found the staff exceptional. What bowled me over was the spa and pools . Wow!! Absolutely second to none. The bar was very good drinkswise and the bar staff were very friendly and helpful ( particularly Bastien and Sami) The bar food was OK but lacked a bit of variety. If you did not want Pizza , there was very little else. The breakfast did not vary much . One day there were sausages , next day there were none. Needed a sports threrapy massage for my arthritic knees , and was asssured by a Manager and and a member of staff at the Nivea House that I could get one . I did feel very short changed by what was actually provided . Would stay again? Definitely - if only for the amazing spa"
