Great stay! Beds felt very private with a huge curtain. Location close to train and lots of cute restaurants/bars. Easy to get everywhere i wanted to go. Ensuite shower had a bit of a mold problem, but otherwise everything was great. Would book again!

Clean simple room. I liked the nespresso machine in the lobby and the nightly dinner. Only sad that the balcony room didnt look like the picture. Neighbors could look directly into the bed. Staff was great.

This Hostel was clean and comfortable, and quite most of the time I was disappointed that, at almost 70 years old and having requested a bottom bunk, they were unable to oblige with this. The other difficulty I had may have been related as all communication, emails mostly, was done in Spanish, so I was unaware at times what they were trying to tell me. Now, that's largely my own fault, but they might consider using English as well, as this language is spoken world wide.

A cheap and reliable option!

The staff was helpful, allowing me some flexibility in storing my bags. There was a lounge that was comfortable and convenient, the room was quiet, secure, and clean.

Great Stay, Open Late

We were arriving in Barcelona very late from our flight and needed somewhere with a late check in. We found this hostel and were very surprised how nice and clean it was. Highly reccomend staying here and dont let it being a hostel turn you off. We have a private room and it was great.

Pro: Good location. Kitchen has all needed utensils. Working air conditioner. Clean bedsheet and guest toothbrush. Contra: worst matress ever on the extra bed (in 3 bed room) and very small room for 3 (quite okay for 2 people). Uncomfortable and not so clean shower and bathroom and the room itself full with dust. No soap in the bathroom. Asked to keep for 5-6hrs our luggage (3 medium sized backpacks and 1 hand luggage) and were charged for it, which would he totally okay and even good option untill i witnessed more than 1 person kept their bags and luggage(more than 1 and for longer than 2-3 hrs) and they were not charged anything.

For just one night, the hostel was ok. However, the room was very small for 6 beds. It was impossible to use the drawer under the bed if there was another person in the bed opposite. The bathroom sink was also very small with a cabinet above it that made it difficult to use the sink. The room next to the kitchen was not very quiet, as people were socializing there, which is to be expected. However, there could be a time limit. People talking loudly almost midnight is not nice. Despite being small, the facilities were clean. The staff were very friendly.

I stayed at Free Hostels Barcelona for one night. I chose it due to its proximity to Barcelona Sants station - it was only a short walk away. I stayed in a private room with ensuite. It was a cheap place to stay, so my expectations were not high. I would note however that walls were not particularly soundproofed - I could hear people taking in the the adjacent room as I was trying to sleep.
