"The hotel and staff could not have been nicer. The property is great with the rooms surrounding two lovely pools. The food was universally good. And the room was excellent. Especially the huge semi-outdoor bathroom with a massive bath. (And, of course, shower.) As was the service. 20 minutes in one direction, Angkor Wat. And, in the other, the center of Siem Reap. "The room I originally booked they advised me during check in that it was full. I’m not sure if that was done on purpose. I asked for a refund of the difference and they told me they couldn’t and offered other services instead. It’s a bit hard to believe that a hotel has overbooked when everything was done online and the fact I couldn’t get a refund for the difference. "I recently stayed at Anachak Angkor Suite, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The main issue is that the hotel does not match what is advertised online. Many of the photos and listed features are misleading or simply not accurate. "We booked this hotel with free breakfast for five nights. When we arrived at there, a front desk lady immediately tried to sell us a tour package for the Angkor ruins. We didn't purchase it right away. She also told us there was no free breakfast. The next day we bought a three-day Angkor tour plan from a nice front desk gentleman.
