"Not usually a review scribe but sometimes you just feel compelled to. 5 stars does not do justice to Dinesh and family. Immaculately clean, helpful to a fault, nothing is too difficult to organize on your behalf and OMG the breakfast is more fit for a king than us minions. Look no further if you want a hassle free stay with some (no exaggeration) of the nicest people on this world of ours. "

"Great place to stay. Large spacious room and comfy large bed. Sana and his family are very welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast plus we were treated to a Sri Lankan breakfast too. Sana took us on a morning excursion where we were treated to all the local wildlife, which was such an unexpected surprise. Would highly recommend stating here. Thankyou all."

Sigiriya Rock is about a 15 minute walk, whereas the main village area is a bit further. After visiting Sigiriya in the morning, we decided at the very last minute to catch the train from Habarana station (30 min drive from Sigiriya) to Colombo. We were struggling to contact a tuk-tuk driver with so little notice, so one of the employees...

"Our stay at Sigiriya Rock Hide was amazing! Beautiful quiet location with a view of Sigiriya rock from the top level restaurant. The food was delicious and very generous, especially the breakfast. "Tres bel endroit dans un écrin de verdure et à 1kms à vol d'oiseau du site de Sigiriya. Grande Piscine avec quelques transats et joli restaurant sous un grand porche pour les petits dejeuners et les diners. Breakfast correct mais toujours le meme et au bout de trois nuits, ça devient lassant. Restaurant dans la moyenne, ok pour dépanner mais on trouve beaucoup mieux et moins cher en allant sur la route principale vers Sigiriya. Chambres spacieuses avec grande terrasse mais l'hotel aurait besoin...

"This is a magnificent property. It is a little bit out of Sigirya. Which was fine with us. We had the option to dine in, which we did on two of our three nights here and the food was nice, it could have been a little spicier (I think they cater a little bit much for western tastes). Breakfast was fantastic, we didn’t need lunch. The staff were extremely helpful. This is one of the nicest properties I have stayed in."

"This property is in the middle of nowhere so there it comes the magic. I can’t complain about slow and poor wifi or power issues since this isn’t a hotel but a home stay. The family hosting is among the best people you could ever meet, very attentive with guests and providing an excellent service and serving a tasty land grown food.
