"I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel appears to be used by the council to house individuals with drug and alcohol issues, which created an uncomfortable and at times unsafe environment. There were visible burn marks on tables consistent with drug use, and noise levels were high at all hours of the day and night. Local businesses even confirmed this is an ongoing issue. Unfortunately, this made it impossible to relax or get proper rest, and I would not choose to stay here again."

Normanton Park Hotel, BW Signature Collection

4/10 Poor

"The rooms are basic, shabby and old. The carpet has stains, the bathroom has cracked tiles, spiders and erratic hot water. There is a very strong and unpleasant chemical smell. While the room was listed as courtyard view, it did not have a view but the door opened onto the courtyard. The receptionist is unhelpful and borderline rude. While the location is great on Rutland Water, the whole experience at the hotel was very poor quality."

"We had a standard room with a double bed with a massive en suite with walk in shower. We were on third floor no lifts as far as i could see, the stairs felt a bit dodgy in places and it felt as if they were sloping but it is a listed building. We did not use the spa services but did have a look and they appeared to be good. Not many big shops within the immediate vicinity so it would have been nice to have a little bit more information within the room"

"Good point - very good location, very nice breakfast and a comfortable room with a bed enough for 3-4 people. Minus - they don't have their own parking, but you can park near the public parking at Gatecross for £6 24 hours using the hotel discount. If you are travelling with a disabled person, there is disabled car parking at the hotel where you can park your car as long as you have a blue badge. They never told us that there is a disabled car park in front of the hotel - we came to know only after two or three days. Overall, we had a good stay, but it could have been excellent if we had known there was accessible parking for disabled guests at the hotel."
