"Great place to stop off either to stay or eat"

"We had a “cosy” room which was fine in terms of size for what we needed. However the room was right at the back of the building and accessed via 7 sets of stairs (6 up and 1 down) and 6 fire doors. As we were taken further and further into the warren we started laughing it was so ridiculous! It was also over the open entrance to the adjacent pub, The Harbour Inn. This is a very busy place with live music for the two nights we stayed. After the music finished there is a crowd outside the pub...

"Sehr schönes Zimmer, was wir zu dritt hatten. Sehr nettes Personal, tolles Lokal mit leckerem Essen, einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: das dritte Bett ist ein etwas unbequemes Schlafsofa. Insgesamt: tolle Unterkunft mit guter Ausgangslage, um Cornwall zu erkunden. Kann ich nur empfehlen!"

"This was the culmination of a self-promise made 11 years ago. Then, we had afternoon tea on the patio, but can’t remember how we discovered Portloe. We said we should stay here if we ever visit Cornwall again. Fast forward to now; an unexpected opportunity to re-visit Cornwall. And it came to pass. "Staff, owners and even guests all friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble for owner snd staff. Lovely relaxing atmosphere in spacious, airy comfortable rooms. Plenty of free parking. Joanna was amazing, and even provided complimentary champgne for our wedding anniversary. Great food too. Our favourite place. We'll be staying again. Steve snd Jill."

"The staff were extremely helpful and professional, the room was very clean but tired one of the best nights sleep we have had in a hotel/BB, bed was so comfortable, shower and toilet was clean but very compact wash hand basin was in the bedroom not ideal but satisfactory, if we were in the area again I would stay again"
