The onsen bath is a little disappointing and the buffet dinner has less choices than what I experienced in other Hoshino resorts, although the choices are still ample. The staff is amazing and there are a lot of free and well organized activities.
A completely Japanese focused hotel with very little in English.
The stay was enhanced by a hotel staff Minami san who spoke English and took us to the room and showed us the hotel and even How the queuing system for dinner worked.
A great ski in and out resort with not much of a crowd ( we were in yuzawa a week earlier and was full). Mainly Japanese families.
Food was excellent with wagyu grill and horse meat stew as their specialties.
Make sure you book in advance the shuttle bus which only operates only twice a day to Koriyama station. It’s not free as per the info page on the website. 1000 Yen for 1hr 45 min trip is reasonable.
No other choice for food so go at least 1/2 board.
Onsen a bit disappointing. Not as hot as normal and no outdoor. Filled with apples though!!!
Will return!!
