Lebua is a mix of upscale and dilapidation
Stayed in one of the newly-renovated suites on the 55th floor. Room was bright, spacious, and well-appointed. View from balcony was spectacular, but no view from within room. Room furnishings were fine, but more IKEA than plush.
Butler service was excellent. Upgrade to new suites was worth it just to have the butler. Everything I needed was delivered quickly and above expectations.
Elevators were infuriating. Old, dim and musty. Sometimes just changed directions while riding. Three different banks of elevators completely uncoordinated and unpredictable. Hotel has staff on the ground floor just to direct guests into elevators.
Lounge was dismal. Entry is dark and unwelcoming, with deep, musty plush carpet. Lounge offerings were austere, with limited views and worn furniture.
Hotel location is adequate, having decent eating and shopping nearby. ICON Siam is closed by taxi or tuk tuk and ferry.
Overall I wouldn't book again in the future until the hotel is renovated to the standard of the 55th floor.

"Big resort hotel, sadly mostly empty of people. It was probably a luxury resort back in the 1980s, but now the place looks and feels very dated. That said the exterior is well maintained and the large swimming pool excellent! Good view of the bridge from their viewing pontoon and only a short walk ..."
