"A fantastic place to stay. My elderly parents required an ensuite and this fitted the bill perfectly. Fresh flowers greeted us on the fining table. Great selection of leaflets showing you things to do in the west coast of Ireland. "It was close to downtown. We were on the main floor so would have gotten a room on a higher floor. A little noisy for us even around 11pm."

"The location couldn’t be better IF you get a room facing the water. Be sure to request. It’s a little more but worth it. We started in another room and overlooked the roof and heating/cooling. A bit dated decor but kept up. Plenty of parking. Restaurant on sight but food just ok. Friendly staff. May be a regular stopover for tours as one arrived while we were there."

"Beautiful large hotel with easy reach to Sligo town. It was previously a lockdown mental Institution but the clayton has turned it into a 4-star hotel with a restaurant and, spa and indoor pool. The only downside was that when we arrived in the room, the next room had young teenage kids playing football, and the noise was very off-putting as the ball smashed up against the wall. So we immediately went down to Reception and asked if we could be moved. The receptionist apologised and gave us another room, but when we got to it, it also had very young kids next door. We didn't go and complain as we knew they would eventually go to sleep, and they did, and we never heard from them again. The breakfast was good and warm, and the service was good. The staff were all very friendly"
