Hotel di Balloch

"After an issue with VRBO, we were given this hotel as an alternative accommodation. It was extremely expensive for what is essentially a very cheap, outdated, and poorly maintained hotel. We were given a room for four people with two small beds, and we could barely sleep. All we wanted was to get through the night and leave as quickly as possible. It is disgraceful that VRBO would offer such a hotel as an alternative, especially at such an inflated price. This experience was completely...

"The staff from the moment we arrived until we left went above and beyond to make our stay for my daughters wedding absolutely perfect Our room was beautiful one night was not enough Thank you"

"Friendly staff with a nice restaurant for breakfast at a good price.French toast was delicious. Rooms are a bit dated but comfortable."

"Room was OK, small and basic but hallways had a funky smell."

"price is ok , average"

"Room was great. Food was good, but placing orders was slow. Food arrived promptly though. My biggest problem is your phone system . I tried probably 10- 15 times to call and each time I waited for the 15-20 rings before it cut me off as none was available . The message "Please call back" or similar message came after the timeout period. You must be loosing lots of business by not answering the phone. The only extension that picked up was the golf."

"The hotel was fine. I booked a double room so partially my fault because the bed was a double (not a queen) . I had read many Google accounts stating that doubles in Europe are usually a queen or king. But in this case, a double was a double."

"The hotel I"

"we enjoyed the bar, especially Tom the bartender the nights we were there. he was very knowledgeable and made us feel at home. The room was nice and quiet, although a little small. The reception staff was always helpful and nice."

"Lots of character, dining excellent, breakfast less so with limited range of non cooked foods."

"First class hotel with superior staff."

"Check in and out very easy, nice staff. Room was a decent size with good amenities (mini fridge, iron ironing board, hairdryer etc) good quality shower. Good WiFi. Tv not a smart tv but it has a chrome cast feature so there’s that option too. Room cleanliness was okay, could have been doing with a dust and the bin being emptied prior to arrival. Staining on the carpeted areas. Good location for anyone visiting as tourists. Busy area but good quality soundproofing. Rooftop bar was nice."

"We were allowed to check in early. Very friendly staff."

"The nicest people of all the places we stayed in Scotland- also the least expensive. The neighborhood is a little bit seedier than some others, so that is probably why it was cheaper, but it wasn’t bad and we felt perfectly safe. Was the only hotel that actually had two double beds and also they had washcloths! Apparently that is a novelty in Scotland. Staff were very helpful and I wish we had more than one night there because it was a much nicer experience than all of the other places we...
