The room smelled like cigarettes and there was ash from cigarettes in the bathroom.
Buen hotel
Un poco alejado del centro de la ciudad antigua que es la zona más céntrica para alojarse...

Disliked: Cleanliness
Booked this hotel only to arrive 6 am local time that they are full luckily I went up the road and apparently I was booked into another must be a sister hotel.
My short break (3 days) in Baku was a spur of the moment thing and I really didn't know what to expect. Turns out Baku is the ideal city break, near enough so no time is wasted in long flights or jet lag. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly and professional. My room was large and the bathroom luxurious. The only drawback is that the hotel is not in city centre - but I soon realised that is not necessarily a bad thing for taxis are plentiful and - as long as you remember to agree on price beforehand - very reasonably priced. I had one meal in the hotel restaurant and it was a good introduction to Azeri cuisine, very enjoyable.

الفندق جيد واقرب للشق المفروشه وموقعه لا يناسب العا٣للت الخليجيه
Albergo nuovo e molto grazioso. Personale molto professionale e gentile. Camera confortevole e pulizia eccezionale tutti giorni. Colazione e pranzo a buffet ottima qualità. Distanza da metro 5 min a piedi. Molto comoda la navetta per aeroporto sul richiesta a costo conveniente. Li consiglio.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located about 10 mins walk from a metro station, from there it takes about 10 mins to the city centre. The rooms are very comfortable and have all that you would expect from such a hotel. The wifi though is very unreliable and I had continuous problems with my connection. There is not much to do around the hotel, no restaurants nearby. I stayed here during the Baku formula 1 grand prix, I would stay there again although I would firstly check if there was somewhere slightly more central in an area with a few more places to go out to at night.
The room had some nice surprises, including a flat screen TV with international stations and a good set up for morning coffee prep. The included breakfast was quite generous. Airport pick-up was handled well. Location is the only real downside. It's in a rather dowdy (though not unsafe) commercial area far from the interesting parts of Baku and a long walk to the metro. The solution is a large number of taxi rides, but since they are cheap in Baku, that doesn't change the good economics of staying at the Teatro. I would return.
