We had a wonderful stay at Auberge de la Treille. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent and the accommodations were top notch. Parking was super easy if you happen to have a car and it’s an easy walk to the city center.

We loved our stay at Auberge de la Treille! Absolutely wonderful staff, solid breakfast, and fantastic dinner. Would definitely recommend.

Tranquil Spote

A very quiet and tranquil spot on the opposite bank of the Rhone. 15 minutes walk to the nearest city wall gate.

Härligt miljö

Väldigt trevligt ställe. Bra restaurang till middag. Tar ungefär 15-20 mins att gå till stan. Poolen är väldigt bekväm och härligt med trä som ger lite skugga under dagtid. Hade varit fint om man kunde ha frukost utomhus!

Great stay within walking distance but out of the congestion of Avignon. The house is lovely, rooms are clean and staff are very nice. Sitting outside on the stately patio listening to the cicadas with a glass of wine hit the spot after the tourist congestion of Avignon. I couldn’t recommend it more!

This was a treasure find! A lovely boutique hotel still being lovingly renovated by delightful people. Bonus the Bar/restaurant boat on the river just outside the secure gate 2 mins stroll. very safe secure hotel. They locked up & gave us key for front door & electric gate. Absolutley delightful!

A wonderful find

Beautiful old villa with 4 tastefully renovated rooms and an incredible restaurant run by the owner/chef. Great breakfast. Easy access into Avignon. The owners and staff were helpful and welcoming. Only tricky thing was getting in when the gate is closed. Best to call when at the gate if needed.

Expérience incroyable

Super endroit, nous y avons passé une nuit en famille lors de notre retour de vacances ce fut une magnifique expérience. Nous sommes arrivés bien plus tard que prévu mais la maîtresse de maison nous a accueilli avec sympathie et professionnalisme. Auberge et propriétaire au top on se sent comme à la maison . Super soirée à Avignon qui est à 5 min . Une nuit au top et un petit déjeuner royale . Encore un grand merci pour ce merveilleux moment dans votre auberge nos enfants nous en parle encore !! This is a very small property, only 5 or 7 rooms, set on the end of an island in the Rhone river. The owners/staff were extremely nice people. A set menu for lunch and dinner that changes by the season is available for some days, not everyday. there are local wine bars within walking distance and walkable into Avignon's old town. very quiet. lots of space available for a venue event. I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance.

Lovely owners and staff. Sitting in the front, drinking a glass of wine, looking at this gorgeous home is a rare experience. Fantastic to be able to park our rental car for free in the large, shaded lot on site. It is only about a 20 min. safe and lovely walk across the bridge to the ancient town of Avignon. I would not want to drive into town. Lots of restaurants and the Pope's Palace. The owner is the chef of the wonderful on-site restaurant. His wife checks in the guests and their daughter is fluent in English. Be sure to book this soon as the owners plan to stop running this as a hotel but will rather turn the property into a special events venue. I would definitely stay here again. We had the 2-floor family room.

This is a nice quiet location in busy Avignon. Reception was friendly (although the woman working had very little understanding of English for a lodging situation). It is not a place designed for any one of a senior age. Staircases were steep and narrow. There were three in our party and we had a family room. To access the beds on the second floor one had to climb a very narrow unlit staircase. There were no reading lights for the three single beds on the second floor (one had a light, but no light bulb). There was no WiFi although it was advertised to have WiFi. There were very limited outlets so plugging in devices to recharge was difficult. We could hear crying children in neighboring rooms. The price is quite reasonable and the setting is beautiful, but one should know the properties limitations.

I really wanted to like this property but there many issues. First of all this is not a real hotel. It's a bed and breakfast. The day we showed up, the gate was closed and there was no way to get in. After driving and walking around the outside fence for half an hour we found a construction worker who went and found a care take for the place. The place looked abandoned and the owners were away.i offered to cancel but they insisted we stay. The château itself had seen better days and they were in the process of repair. Our room was ok and it was nice to be in the woods. they never cleaned the room in our 3 days there but they provided a change of towels once. The owners need staff but appear reluctant to obtain. Overall it was an OK experience

Great stay in Avignon

We had a lovely 6 days at Auberge de la Treille. The hotel and surrounding grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and so charming. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner from the restaurant one night, absolutely delicious. Temperatures were in the high 90’s (F) during our stay so the pool was a major plus, we used it every afternoon. Our room was spacious, very clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Again, having A/C in the room made it a pleasure to come back to after a hot day of touring around. The location is super close to the old walled city of Avignon but just out of the way enough that it felt quiet and away from the tourist crowds. (We rented a car and it was a very quick 5-10 drive to the center of Avignon with convenient parking garages just inside the walls of the old city. Appx 20-30 mins to walk but if it’s very hot or you have young kids with you, a car or bikes may be a better option. Ubers are also easy to get at the hotel). Highly recommend Vinotage, a charming wine bar on a barge just across the street for those evenings when you don’t feel like venturing into town. Great local/Provencal wines and great food. Many thanks to all the friendly and helpful staff, especially Marlena, Charlotte, Julien, and Ousman (and please forgive my misspellings of the names!). And of course to the fabulous pair of hound dogs and cats who help run the hotel and add tremendously to the ambiance! Highly recommend!!!

레스토랑과 호텔을 겸해서 그런지 숙박객에 신경을 덜 쓴다는 느낌이었습니다. 얼리 체크인을 두달전에 요청해 승낙해놓고는 잊어버렸다며 연락도 안되고 주차장은 잠겨 있었습니다. 식당손님들 때문에 밤늦게까지 시끄러워서 수면에 방해가 되었습니다. 욕실에 유일하게 있는 거울과 세면대가 너무 높아서 불편했습니다.

We enjoyed our two night stay in this incredible and beautifully renovated stately home. Veronique was a lovely host. Our room was beautiful, huge, gorgeous towels, lovely sheets on our king size bed and beautiful bathroom. All in an absolutely beautiful setting right on the banks of the Rhone River and walking distance to old town Avignon. Breakfast was delicious breads, croissants, yogourt, home made delicious apricot preserve, meat, cheese, juice and hot beverages. Barge wine bar restaurant adjacent to this home made for a wonderful evening of entertainment under the stars. A must stay if one is in the Avignon area. Oase der Ruhe

Ein sehr schöner Ort mitten in der Stadt, aber trotzdem im Grünen, da Lage auf der Insel im Fluss. Sehr gute Betten, großzügiger Raum, modernes Bad. Das Frühstück war individuell und sehr gut, keine verpackten Produkte, schöner Platz im Garten.
