"Amazing! Will stay again!"

"The first room was large and clean but there was a dog across the hall howling and barking all night. We moved rooms and got put in a room 1/2 the size of what we booked and while they say it was a river view it wasn’t. You saw a brick wall and the pool. You could see a tiny maybe river if you smooshed your face into the window. No reduced rate or anything despite the sign right at the desk that says if you’re not satisfied they’ll comp your stay. "

"Beds were comfortable, the staff was pleasant. The pools were clean. We appreciated the breakfast and the dinner, all included in the room charge. There were many options for both meals, and they were tasty!. We would certainly stay again! "

"The lobby area was fine and the location is good for easy access to the riverwalk. The lobby and common areas were fine. The breakfast service was limited choices but there was plenty of food stations to accommodate the large crowds. The staff was nice enough I guess, not rude, but not super polite. The room was in need of a deep cleaning. The main surfaces (countertops, furniture, floors) weren't visibly dirty but vents, corners, lampshades etc were dusty/dirty. The TV did not work. We ended up finishing our event early and were less than 3 hours from home so we decided to leave rather than spend another night. If the room had been better we would have stayed. I prepaid the room, so didn't ask for a refund. I had to pay more for parking than I should have. The sign clearly says under 24 hours is $36, and we left in under 24 hours, but the hotel said since we stayed over a night we had to pay $36 for overnight and by the hour for the time we stayed the next day. I'm not sure how you can stay 24 hours but not stay overnight, so I felt it should have only been $36. I asked about the extra charge but they weren't willing to refund it."

"We have stayed at the Menger 4 times now and have never been disappointed. The location is perfect and the history is amazing. We will be back again and again."

"Things were not in working order. We needed Wi-Fi to work while there and the signal too weak. The staff just said sorry. The tub jacuzzi didn’t work. The tv in bedroom didn’t have a remote. The staff tried another remote but nothing worked. Couch and carpet were so stained (in the presidential suite I might add) that we had to keep shoes on and sit on a blanket. Would not stay there again. "
