"For context, we stayed here as part of our honeymoon in Portugal, and it was by far the best place we stayed. The design of the hotel was beautiful. Everywhere you looked, there were fantastic views of the Douro River and surrounding hills framed by massive windows. The facilities were amazing. "One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. A very close walk to all the port houses. Stayed in a 2 bedroom , 2 bathroom beautiful suite. The pool is quiet and clean. Had an amazing massage! The rooftop bar has the best view of the river and the bridge. Breakfast every morning was delicious. Big shout at to Claudia. She’s so friendly !!!!"

"Cons 1. Hairdryer was jammed when we checked in & the head had to be replaced as it was inoperable due to hair jammed into the head of the hairdryer. 2. The website says air-conditioned rooms but staff informed they are air cooled.The first night was very sweaty & uncomfortable to get sleep. Staff asked us to open the window for ventilation.This wasn't an option as this overlooks a highway & lot of traffic noise. 3. "The property was in a nice quiet and safe area. The room was clean, nice and large with plenty of space to move around. The rooftop bar offered a nice view of the area. The staff encountered were all nice and provided exceptional service throughout the stay. Overall, the property was well maintained and offered excellent service."

"If using the indoor pool, bring a swim cap and flip flops so you don’t need to purchase them. Otherwise, great stay just outside of Porto. We used Bolt to get around during our stay."
