"It's a longish drive from Cagliari (around 250KM) but of course it's worth it to really get away from it all. The hotel is a lovely place up in the hills so you have your choice of the spectacular mountain scenery on one side or a lazy day on the beaches on the other. Watch those twisty mountain roads though! Watch more for the Mountain Goats who, I swear, like to leap out at you just for a dare. Especially when you're coming around on a tight u-bend with a deadly sheer precipice on one side. The owners have quite a menagerie and I especially loved the donkeys who were all friendly and adorable. One had a foal on the second night I was there and I got to see the new one the following day. Awwww! Very helpful, friendly owners and "Mama" is a lovely person. So, if peace, quiet and irresistibly cute baby animals is your thing, I highly recommend a stay here."

"Omu Axiu is exactly what we needed to get the feel of Sardinia. After how busy Cagliari was and even Costa Sud, it was a dream to get to the hotel and homestead. Monika and Claudia made us feel so welcome and fed us like royalty for dinner and breakfast. very rustic atmosphere which is what we were looking for. "

"An excellent example of a rustic BnB..hosts are superb..local town has sadly declined..not any reflection on this wonderful accommodation..perhaps A/C would be handy! It's a Perfect spot to De-Stress!Very quiet..tranquil..Grazie Mille P.S...oh and Sardegnian food..sensational!"

"Amazing local gem. This small orange flag town was a pleasant surprise on our trip. The hosts were very welcoming and put on an incredible breakfast. Room was very clean and spacious and a nice common area. "
