"We stayed only 2 days and one night. Positives were a lovely big hotel with well appointed rooms and delightful shower and bed comfort. Loved the pools but it was extremely busy during our stay and we struggled to find even a single sunlounger even though four of us - didn’t feel great having to put our things on the floor to go for a swim. It was Gran Canaria day though so perhaps this was ann exception. Also parking had run out of space so we had to pay EUR25 to park across from the hotel in a general car park. Staff did not offer much information at check in and I felt like I had to keep popping back to ask for info, towels, where to go for half board meals etc. Bags did not all make it through to room and no one answered a few attempts to phone call through to reception so we ended up having to pop back to reception to ask.
The grounds are beautifully kept and pools really special and we loved the styling of the restaurants but even there it just felt staff lacked training and finesse you get in other 5 star resorts. Eg waiting 7 mins to be noticed and seated in a restaurant that only had 4 other tables used and then having to flag for attention to get a spare plate even though they knew we were sharing a pizza. Food was tasty and was lovely to put on the champions league cup final but rather poor that twice they cut it off mid game and mid penalty shoot out as they were running to pre-programmed timing and it taking about 10 mins to get it back on each occasion."
"Finally found the perfect family hotel. The location is superb with nice restaurants nearby and little Venice at Port Mogan.
The hotel is clean, staff helpful and the facilities are great. It just works. Nice big pool which is relaxed for kids with floats.
The kids could go around safely to the pool and the room. They made lots of friends as lots of English people here.
The breakfast is great and the snack bar/on site restaurants are good as well and extremely reasonable price wise.
We moved to another hotel during our trip after our stay ended here and we wish we had stayed at the Radisson for our entire holiday!
Highly recommended."
"Feels a bit harsh not to give it as what I going to moan about really can't be helped
It's situated on a main road so being on the balcony can be noise and down by the pool you are getting fumes from the road. It's centre based tho so to be expected.
Room was great and clean - didn't find it dated like some suggest. Plenty of sun loungers and staff especially housekeeping where very friendly. Suppose the question is would I go back there and the answer is yes. Supposedly a star rating lower to a local hotel within the same brand. You wouldn't know it. 👏
Breakfast was the buffet was all know and love these days."
"The place was super cozy and clean! The staff were all friendly! The room was large and got great sunlight. The pool was also large and the temperature was fantastic, not too cold! The happy hours and evening shows were so much fun, and food was tasty and well priced. My only complaint is that the wifi was absolutely horrible, as it rarely would connect and made it hard for me as I was traveling from the United States. My friend from Ireland also couldn't connect most of the time. So that was a bummer, but everything else was wonderful! Will definitely be back!"
"We loved the location. It was much nicer than surrounding areas in our opinion. Whilst taurito itself didn’t have much for us to do, other than the beach bars, restaurants, it was easy enough to hop on a bus or get a taxi to Puerto de Mogan, Puerto Rico etc!
The hotel itself was lovely. We arrived at 11pm, we were told to leave our bags at reception and go and grab a drink from the bar. We were told that there was a cold buffet from 11:30pm so we could get something to eat, when we went, it was bread rolls, salad and cheese. It was disappointing.
Food overall, breakfast was exactly as you would imagine and I couldn’t fault it! Although, an omelette making bit would absolutely make a difference to the options. Lunch & dinner had a bit of repetitive options. Some dishes were lovely and i could have gone back for seconds, other dishes were a little too adventurous for us and a little off putting, we noticed that on these nights, the restaurant seemed much quieter so I think other guests must have had the same opinions.
Drinks were okay, cocktails were syrupy and sweet. Could certainly tell they didn’t contain much alcohol. It would have been good if there was a cocktail menu that staff would actually prepare the drinks themselves for rather than just the machine.
Transfer was long and we got taxi on return.
Big thing for us, air con was not cool at all!"
"- housekeeping wasn’t everyday and towels aren’t changed everyday which makes it hard to travel with small kids.
- housekeeping was bad, biscuit and crisp crumbs on the floor in the bedroom were never removed the whole stay and toilet smelled off piss the whole stay.
- outdated room and hotel overall, badly need renovation
- washing machine and dryer was handy especially for long stays
- barman was lovely"
