The room was clean and comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly at check in. Good points about the hotel is the location, it’s perfect, in the centre of town next to the cathedral. I would have scored it much higher but a couple of things let it down for us. The air conditioning in the room didn’t work properly. It was controlled by reception, so we had to keep going to ask for it to be turned on and tell them the temperature, and then it would turn off again. The room was uncomfortably hot on some occasions. Most hotels allow you to control it from your room. Secondly, the bathroom is really badly designed, with a glass screen separating the shower from the bedroom. As we were a family staying with a teenager this lack of privacy was not ideal. It was really hard to get out of the shower too without bumping into the bath and some pebbles on the floor. Looked pretty but not convenient. Thirdly, the toilet flush was temperamental, we couldn’t get it to work at all for the first few hours, and called maintenance, but they were offsite and had to travel far, the receptionist managed to help tell us how it worked in the end. Finally, we got a voucher for a free beer and tapas in the bar, which was nice, but when we went to claim it, we were told the bar was closed that day. And we were leaving the next morning as we only stayed 2 nights. Nice hotel but facilities need improving…air conditioning in particular.

Wonderful hotel next to the cathedral

This hotel is so comfortable and the service is excellent. I was in one of the new rooms and it is prefect. The restaurant is wonderful and really good value for money.
