Stayed 2 nights in a King room and everything was presented as advertised. Exceptionally clean and well maintained, nice room amenities. Hassle free check in and out. Easy walking distance to main street and traffic noise was minimal even being on the main hwy side. I would recommend 👌.

It really was a lovely stay at the Ararat Southern Cross Motel. Room is up-to-date, clean and spacious. Good customer service. The location excellent for train travelers being across the road from Ararat Station.

Arrived on a wet cold day to a very warm reception. The room was large and comfortable. The location is good and was easy to find. Car parks are large, and there is plenty of space between cars to get all your gear out. Overall, it was a good stay and I would use them again if staying in Ararat.

The owners of the motel were very helpful and friendly, they made us feel welcome and went out of their way to make sure that we had a great stay. If we were to return to Ararat we would without hesitation stay at the Southern Cross motel.

Spotlessly clean, very nice owners, huge rooms, large comfy beds, excellent shower, very quiet and well equipped. The only thing not great was patchy WiFi which could be improved. Overall loved it and would definitely stay again.

Spacious and surprisingly quiet room despite main road nearby . Very . Comfortable bed . Poor wifi and ants the only downside but would stay again for a good value overnight break option

Needed a late check in after a long drive and the hotel was particularly helpful. Manager followed up by phone and text to make sure I had the correct details. Room was spotless and large and bed was particularly comfortable. Highly recommended.

Hosts very welcoming and exceeded expectations
Excellent Motel with very comfortable beds. Large very clean rooms and bathrooms. Couch in room. Big digital TV. Also there were was crockery and microwave with ability to have meAl back in room. Easy walk to main st with restaurants and pubs

A gem in Ararat.
Very happy at this motel. We arrived by train and it is one minute walk from the station. The room is large and beautifully maintained in immaculate condition. We had a kitchenette with microwave, fridge and plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery, etc. The bathroom was very spacious with a large shower. You are one block from the main shopping strip. The owners were very nice and friendly. The windows are double glazed so the room is VERY quiet even though you are on a main road. We will stay here again.

Clean, well appointed property. Spacious, good shower close to town. However wifi was terrible it could not even be used for basic functions. So just based on this would not stay again as no one wants to be stuck watching country TV as there only source of entertainment.
