"Older motel not too far from the center of town. Motel is operated remotely. If I hadn't run into a resident guide, I would have had a problem getting into my room. There was a phone number on the wall in the community kitchen. I stayed in room one closest to the main road. "Fun stay at a neat old inn in a very convenient and lovely location, walking distance to good food and shopping. This is an older hotel that doesn’t have all the updated and most modern conveniences but if it did, it would be twice as expensive and I probably would not have stayed there. And it would probably lose some of its charm. "This is an older motel, so don't expect a 4-star hotel. I've stayed there twice on the last two years, and both times I have had excellent experiences. The building is probably from the 1950-1960 era, and it does show. However, the rooms themselves have everything you would need. Everything is very clean. "Things were clean, but definitely low end and hasn’t been updated in a long time. Nothing horrible, but not super impressive. Think “Schitt’s Creek” vibes. Water took absolutely forever to warm up. Fridge, but no microwave. Bed was clean and comfortable. Room smelled slightly off when we walked in; again, not awful, but not fresh. Lawn was very overgrown. We only stayed for sleeping, so none of it was make or break for us. Nothing to really complain about, but nothing to write home about either."
