There was a required deposit we were not warned about (not on website or confirmation). There was no breakfast, which was advertised on the website and the main reason I picked it. There was no way to contact the front desk; no phone number to call. One listed online and on confirmation was disconnected.
There was trash in the cupboards. Actual food trash from previous guests. Leftovers cartons, grocery sack of other food and trash, ice cream wrapper, giant yogurt container. I took pictures and went and talked to front desk to make sure we would get our deposit back.
The was a loud buzzing blaring as we walked in, but they assured us wouldn't be able to hear it from it room. They were correct. But the fire alarm went off at 12:20am! And then just went off minute later as we were trying to get dressed and get our 4 year old son awake to go outside. No explanation. Went off again at 12:35 and 12:40, each time for a shorter duration. Never got any explanation for it. Elevator didn't work, I guess, because until about 1:30am people where dragging large heavy objects up and down the stairs.
Next morning NO ONE was at the registration desk to check us out. We tapped, knocked and yelled. Finally maintenance guy came and checked for us and finally tracked someone down. I barely made it to my doctor's appointment I went to Anchorage for because we waited 20 minutes to check out.
Hated every minute there, got no sleep, no explanations or apologies, and was thrilled to leave.
