"We stayed at Tsubaki House en route to Kamikatsu. It was a nice change from hotel rooms. An entire house with nice water view exactly as per the photos. The property is very private and accessed by a narrow road. Staff that handled check in and check out super friendly and proactive. They were very helpful. Take some food for BBQ. There are some places to eat in driving distance. Great place to stay for a family or small group."

"Food, view and site excellent. Room big and attended to well with dinner served into room. Air conditioner could not handle the heat through hot summer. They supplied a portable cooler as well to help out the heat movement in room. Pity as the rest of stay was great."

"A simple place with exceptional service and excellent food. We did not expect a kaiseki dinner starting with fresh sushi, and lots of it. Followed by a seafood pasta, veggie plate including chawan mushi, a steak course and desert. Add this to a nice swim on the
