Based on my experience in April 2024, the hotel merits 3.5 stars but it has the potential to be a 4 stars place. A new hotel, in a complex of hotels near the airport, it has large bright rooms and a nice bathroom. It is very clean and has the usual amenities: pool, spa, etc.
It is about 13 km from city center in a quiet quasi-rural setting, which what I wanted. An oasis of peace to return to.
The demerits come mainly from poorly trained staff and avoidable issues Before continuing, there were four exceptional staff members who deserve special mention: Waiters Atul and Soubhik and reception staff Shuja and her supervisor.
Turning to issues: (1) mosquitos in the room on 6th floor with no open windows. why haven’t they been gotten rid off. (2) many mosquitos in restaurant — again surely the area can be prepared ahead of time; door kept closed; etc. you don’t need guests to complain first.
(3) waiters should suggest and defer to guests. Don’t presume to know what I like. definitely do not bring me something other than what I ask for because you don’t think I will like what I asked for. Really? (4) when one guest orders soup only and another a main course, don’t bring the soup out first. Ask if we want everything together. Obviously we want to eat together. (4) if your internet is down, do not ask to see my phone and proceed to try to change setting. you are not a certified expert. don’t play with my phone. Check your internet. Talk to your IT.
