Floor was soaking wet on one side and the room smelled musty. No hair dryer. Tiny tiny fridge. Air conditioner wasn’t very good either. Room and bathroom were clean. Bed very hard. Pillows flat and old.

The bed was very comfortable and nicely furnished. For the cost, this is a very convenient overnight stay. I have stayed here before, but I have to say the lobby had a stale chemical odor, thankfully the room was fine.

Woman at front desk spoke very softly, and it was hard to hear her even when she was asked to speak louder. We didn’t know about the $60 hold. The room was clean and comfortable with good tv stations. WiFi was so-so. Common areas could use updating and continental breakfast was basic. Nobody seemed to be available at checkout.

Weekend in Melrose!

The desk worker (I assumed also the owner) was friendly and helpful. He showed general interest in what brought us to stay in Melrose. The staffed seemed happy and seemed to work hard! The room had updated carpeting and furniture and looked like they were trying to improve their hotel.

Very typical super 8. Always good place to stay. Very easy access off I-90. Unusual stay in that no one else in hotel staying at check-in. Even in morning only three or four vehicles parked. Very strange feeling. Good comfortable rooms but breakfast very poor and unattended. Very small community with limited dining.

The lobby area was sufficient for a small group however the couches should be replaced as the distressed imitation leather was shedding pieces of leather on our clothing. The staff (Sam) was awesome. We had everything we needed in the room and was clean. Breakfast was minimal with cereal and toast. I was not expected any more than that, so I was not disappointed!

The property was convenient for our needs. The front desk check in was “non memorable”. Arriving at 8PM, a smile & welcome would have helped. Didn’t expect a two floor property not to have an elevator. I’ll go with that all of the first floor rooms were occupied. Or at least letting our senior age appearance be an indicator of prior knowledge before climbing up the stairs with our luggage. It was too late & also being tired to go back to the front desk to discuss. Also, the A/C was just loud enough to gargle out the TV .
