Hotels near Dooley Pond Public Access

"I had to change rooms within minutes of entering. First room had black stains all over carpet, odor, toilet was continuously running and the secondary lock on the door was missing a part. The manager knew about the stains (dried ink) and only after I complained did she tell another clerk to block the room. I was given another room. This room, while better had a dysfunctional control for the AC/heat but I made it work. The room was like an old style motel with a large window to the hallway and a small window in the rear. The room was across from the indoor pool so it was noisy in the afternoon I was unable to block the light completely and the door had gaps allowing light to enter. The small back window had blinds that did not close either. I was unable to sleep most of the night. The breakfast was palatable but I just wanted to get the heck out of there. Learned that you definitely get what you pay for but all other hotels in the area were at least $75 more per night. Would not recommend this place."

"The room was missing so much, no iron, not enough towels, no shampoo or conditioner. The bed was not great and the bed frame was so cheap I felt like it would break with a simple movement. Keys kept not working and I had to go down 3 times to get them redone, pretty annoying."

"Before booking I explained that we needed to have a meeting after checkout time.. We were told this would be fine and the manager confirmed this the next morning. When we learned our meeting would be at a later time she said we could not meet. The meeting area was empty. Why makes things difficult for clients? I travel frequently and have always been able to leave luggage or use the lobby and meeting areas after a checkout when I reason. I will not book at a Best Western again."
