"Charming and characterful hotel. Excellent location backing on to railway platform. Opted for a room at the front which was quiet with beautiful fjord/mountain views. Clean, very comfortable beds and helpful staff."

"I really liked this hotel. We got a great room with a view of the water and it was on the corner, so we had windows on two sides. The location is great -- just a few minutes' walk away from the old parts of town and even walking distance from the train station. The only downsides we experienced were that the room is a bit dark (this seems to be a common hotel theme), and there was a strike while we were there, so some of the stuff was closed. The strike by hotel and restaurant workers had an obvious impact on the breakfast experience;though we only found out on arrival, when at reception we were told that no hot food would be on offer.This was a major problem for my wife who has significant blood-sugar problems. "It is a basic clean hotel. The concept is efficiently operated. 24/7 in house staff to address the needs. The location to Oslo s is only a mere 3min walk. Citybox oslo is kind enough to change my room facing noisy trams line. Subsequently, my room was facing void courtyard where i could hear chinese couple quarrel.at 4am, loud hp music, talkg till late at night from nearby windows and also my opp room. Depending on your luck, it could be pleasant. Pantry is available at ground floor."

"Property is located on the waterfront, so nice location. Staff promptness to answering calls was slow to not at all. Breakfast was included in my room rate, so quality of food available was good not great. Also breakfast service staff was quite busy so response times for coffees and breakfast orders was quite slow. Vegetarian food options are literally non existent in their room service or restaurant menus - so if you are vegetarian, be prepared to eat outside or order food in. Will look for...

"Room was great - very clean. Breakfast was all we could have wanted and more! There was a strike on but the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Roof tower is amazing and well worth asking for the key to go up and have a look. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Bergen!"
