"Our stay at La Mariposa Hotel in Manuel Antonio was phenomenal and, so far, our favourite stay in Costa Rica! The views throughout the property were incredible, and the entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The staff at the front desk were welcoming and helpful, and the service throughout our stay was excellent. The pools were clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of options for everyone in the family. We were lucky enough to see the resident...

"Stars knocked off as we reserved and paid for a single queen bed room with a pool view. We were given two double beds. As a couple this is not acceptable as we are not sleeping in two separate beds, we are now forced to share a smaller bed, plus we are traveling with large luggage, carry ons and personal items, by giving us a room with two double beds the additional bed cramped the room for space. I complained about this when checking in and the check in staff advised it was the same room...

Manuel Antonio

"Expedia lists this property at 3.5 stars. It’s 2 at best. I honestly don’t know why this property has gotten the high marks if people are reviewing honestly. I always try to be completely fair in my reviews and give the benefit of the doubt. That’s why I’m giving 3 stars and not 2. Our room had ants and a roach. We haven’t seen ants or roaches in any other jungle lodge at which we’ve stayed. There was no WiFi in our room even though it’s advertised. All the networks were locked and no password...

"The house and property are amazing. We love to stay at unique properties and this was one of the most unique properties we have ever stayed at. Everything about the property was clean, perfect, and very inviting. We especially enjoyed the peaceful sound of the river on the property, the extremely unique design of the home built in the middle of giant boulders, and the jacuzzi inside the home. If you are on the fence about booking a stay here just book it. We will definitely be back."
