I remember walking along the beach in north #Jutland, close to the small Danish town of Lønstrup. An eroding coast line has caused the cliffs to recede, and so, atop the cliffs there were several abandoned structures. Staring out into the North Sea on that windy day was a surreal experience and reminded me that the world can open up opportunities in funny ways. A year earlier, I met some people at a course in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We were all from different cities and areas of the world. A year later, we found ourselves in northern #Denmark. "Positives: The apartment was easy to book, in a convenient location. It had comfortable beds, comfortable sitting and dining areas and a suitable kitchen. We were able to collect our key late at night. Negatives: The heating did not work so we were always cold, the hot water ran out on the only full day of our visit, so we could not shower. Bed sheets had been provided for two, but we were three. No staff were available to assist us in the clubhouse and my e-mail, requesting assistance, to the contact at the club has not been answered. In the front bedroom, an electrical plug for a bed light was broken, and there was some loose (stale) popcorn in the bottom of the wardrobe - which suggests inadequate cleaning. A fuel truck arrived behind the apartment at 07:50 just as we were departing which, we believe, could explain the lack of heating, and which might suggest that staff were already aware of the issue. Even this late in the season, we were entitled to a certain level of service, but this was not delivered. I have requested a refund."
