"Would not recommend. This hotel did not meet our expectations. It is older and in need of renovation. We were very disappointed to find mold in our bathroom and stains all over the ceiling. The bedding was very discolored, not white or clean looking. The duvet looked like it had mold in the filling. Our mattress had stains. The refrigerator cabinet was falling apart. The breakfast buffet was very limited. The positives of this hotel are the location and the friendly staff."

"I gave my stay 4 stars. The room was clean and bed were comfortable. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the sink was clogged so the water would not drain properly without pulling the stopper out exposing what was clogging it (hair/spit, etc. it was disgusting) and the water pressure was great but it would only get luke warm. No hot water."

"This was our first time visiting the state of Alabama, we came down to visit Alabama state. Debra, Dakita and the kitchen staff were exceptional, they went above and beyond to make sure that our check in was prompt and smooth. They were very professional, courteous friendly and knowledgeable of the Marriott. They set up my rewards account. Now the breakfast was southern comfort food, the kitchen staff, I have no words and I mean that, he was so pleasant and such a delight to my morning."

"The phones at the Hotel did not work the day we arrived or the day we left. To get from the airport to the Hotel I had to call an Uber to take us to the Hotel as I could not contact the Hotel by Phone . It was cold and windy we waited outside for their shuttle to come by but gave up on it. The morning we left there was no one at the front desk until the shuttle driver came back from delivery and he took us to the airport."

"Very unenthusiastic rude front desk guy. No greeting. Went up to the room he gave us. There was a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Thinking it was a mistake, we went in to find the room in disarray and obviously someone still staying there. Went back to front desk, no apology, just rudely gave us another room without a word. Asked for best way to walk to the Civic Center and he just waved his hand in a general direction without a word. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Would not recommend."

"Overall. I would stay at this hotel again. It's for a lot of other businesses around it. It's in the middle of everything. The staff was super friendly and that meant a lot to me. It could've use a little updating on the decor and the elevators were quite trusting. They look really old and at one point only 1 was working. But overall I'd still stay again if that was all. "The room was clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only complaints I have is the a/c wasn’t very cool in our room, we didn’t have any hand soap, just lotion (I packed some though), and the beds were not very comfortable. The pillows were shapeless and way too soft, and the bed was maybe a little too firm. Just not comfy for us. "
