"Beautiful hotel. It should be being it was obviously new. The room door springs were exceptionally strong, making it a pain to get your luggage in/out. My only complaint was the breakfast was NOT COMPLIMENTARY. They require a $150 deposit up front. But a cup of coffee & glass of OJ was over $5.00."

"Went down for the breakfast at 9:00 that was supposed to be served from 6:30 - 9:30 and it was closed down. The attendant was sweeping up and the chairs were put up on the table. No breakfast, No coffee. The front desk person was not very friendly at check out. We won’t be going back."

"The staff were friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The hotel common areas were dated and the carpet had visible stains throughout. The room was basic VERY basic. Did not use the shower/tub as it also had stains throughout. For the one night we spent in the room I had to use a pill bottle to prop the 32-inch TV up on one side. The stand was visibly broken. While I have stayed at La Quinta on and off for years, I have never stayed in one as dismal. Not worth what I paid at all. Lessons learned. My son and I travel to Tampa for concerts periodically, definitely won't stay at this hotel again. :-(."

"There were two gentleman at the front desk, one was very nice and helpful, the other was extremely rude. Not sure what the building was prior to it being a hotel, but you have to go outside and walk around the building to get to the lobby. Super annoying and super inconvenient. Tv remote didn’t work, I called the front desk and was told I’d have to go the the front desk to get batteries… in the pouring rain after working and driving all day. Beds were so hard, basically like sleeping on the floor. So hard, super uncomfortable. Loud guests all night, front desk doesn’t answer the phone after 9pm apparently. Also, the hotel front desk guy told me had I booked directly through the hotel I would have paid less than 80.00 per night. My booking through hotels.com was for 170.00 per night… so that’s not exactly great. For the amount of options throughout the area, it definitely wasn’t worth what we paid to stay there."
