Room was excellent, the pool was brilliant and very clean, staff were top quality

Every interaction I had with the staff was lovely, especially the doormen, who were always warm and friendly. I had a massage twice during my stay and both were excellent, as well as being really well priced. Breakfast was good too, with a decent selection and a freshly cooked station for eggs and omelettes. The location was convenient and made it easy to get to the local markets. The room was large and comfortable, and the cleaning staff worked really hard, regularly topping up the minibar and bottled water. Overall, a really pleasant stay.

Nice view of river and close to tourist streets. The place is pretty worn out but elegant old. Don't let them give you a room with a pillar in front of the window like they tried with me! Staff it quite good for breakfast, tours and currency exchange. I would check around for newer options a if they offer the same amenities. Also there is co structuring from of the hotel. View is still good though,

Room was very noisy with ceiling that you could hear people walking or wood door from the room or guest’s opening or close that you could hear. Steam room or sauna small for one person.

Pros: Staff are very nice! Special mention to Harvey who assisted us during check in. Nice pool, spa facilities, linens, towels are nice. The facial/massage services were amazing! The cafe restaurant downstairs is also good! Love the live piano every night. Cons: I don’t think this is a 5star hotel because it’s a bit dated! Maybe it was 10 yrs ago! The carpet needs to go - they’re old! The walls are also obviously dated, marks on the wall and dirty looking carpet even though they’ve been cleaned. There was a foul smell in our bedroom and we just had to move! Bathrooms are not functional- nowhere to hang towels! The plumbing you can see under the cabinets. Location: A bit far to walk from the main city in Saigon, we had to catch a grab/cab though they do have a complimentary shuttle. We didn’t take up on the breakfast as it was very pricey. It was a bit disappointing staying here as we just stayed in a super nice hotel prior to our stay here. I think changing the hotel flooring and re painting the walls would absolutely lift up the look of Hotel Nikko.
