Ok this is a beautiful hotel, amazing outlook. Two things spoilt the stay. 1. The music from nearby venues goes until 2am, there isn’t anything that can be done about this by the hotel, however, pool side properties would benefit from soundproofing and better glazing. Please also be honest about this at the time of booking… 2. And this is most annoying, I’m in construction and rocked up to a sign telling me there was construction next to pool…. Not idea and I’d simply have switched hotels had I known. But the real annoyance is starting construction at 8am when you’ve only managed to drift off at 02:30….

Tag ikke hertil i lavsæsonen (juni). Vi var næsten de eneste gæster og derfor var der ikke stillet solsenge eller andet frem. Generelt føltes det meget som et spøgelseshotel, udover alle de håndværkere der gik rundt og renoverede hotellet. Der var derfor konstant byggestøj. Morgenmaden var desuden også dårlig i forhold til forventet, da de jo klart ikke stiller deres vante morgenmadsbuffet op til 5-10 gæster.

Stunning location ruined by appalling service, poor hygiene, and unprofessional staff Koh Yao Yai Village Beach Resort offers breathtaking views, but fails catastrophically on basic hospitality. Our family stay in a 1-Bedroom Pool Villa was severely ruined by serious service failures, persistent cleanliness issues, and exceptionally rude staff. The resort is isolated, leaving guests captive to on-site facilities. With a young child, activities are virtually non-existent beyond the pools. Hygiene and maintenance are major concerns. By day two, our room was dirty and overrun by pests. The breaking point occurred when we brought proof of the infestation—a cockroach captured in a bag—to reception. Instead of addressing the issue, four staff members openly laughed in our faces. Adding to the incompetence, the hotel gave us the wrong departure pier information, causing our next hotel’s driver to wait at the wrong location and leaving us stranded with unnecessary stress and delays. Looking at other guest reviews, it is clear these are recurring issues: poor room upkeep, fake smiles, and indifferent front-desk staff who mock guests rather than solve problems. Management has completely failed to address these structural flaws. Book somewhere that values basic hygiene, operational accuracy, and guest respect.

The staff were very professional very helpful and the only ones that texted me to pick me up from the pier on my arrival day and dropped me off when I left The room was great clean and spacious
