I've stayed here several times. It's clear that they are working hard to maintain and improve it. Given the nature of the clientele, this is challenging and I can tell that the staff is diligent and I gladly leave a tip for housekeeping.
Even though there is not officially a staff member on site at the desk, I find that now, in the afternoons, there usually is and they are GREAT. I love the vibe of the place, which is what brings me back. The only concern--and it's a big one--is that there is a $35-per-night fee that is not included so that, it's only by the time you're past the time you could get a full refund that this is made plain. For this reason, until this is rectified and what shows up on Expedia is accurate, I won't be back, which I regret but I don't feel that I'm treated with respect in this regard. It's a simple fix. Do it, and I'll consider coming back.
