Great hotel for a good price in a good location. We were upgraded to a suite room, which was huge. The room was a little dated, however this was in the part of the hotel that was yet to be refurbished, so understandable. Bed was comfortable as was the couch and huge bathroom great. The pool areas were good and it is so nice to have the option of an adult only pool. The only thing that we didn’t like so much was that parts of the casino floor were smoking. As we didn’t spend any time on the casino floor, except to walk through on our way to other parts of the hotel, this was not such an issue, but the smell of cigarettes nevertheless stuck around.
We would choose the Rio again, however, on future trips to Las Vegas. It’s good value for money and nicely close, but not too close, to the strip and all of its busy-ness.

The room was great, the hotel facilities are great. They will nickle and dime you on everything so make sure to be ready to spend. The only negative part for me was that I specifically made a reservation for the Encore and when I arrived at the Encore they checked me in but told me my room was at the Wynn, which was not bad but definitely not as planned. Not sure if this is an expedia problem or wynn's problem
