Paroisse Notre-Dame des Sources Beach Holidays

Do not book this hotel. Their air conditioner was broken and they changed my room twice. They told me they would fix it and they never did. For five nights I stayed in a hot room. And now Expedia refuses to compensate me for the inconvenience. Expedia and the hotel said all sales are final. Another lady across from me booked two rooms and she had the same issue. They have had air conditioner issues for the longest and have no immediate plans to fix it. Book at your own risk!

Great location

This is a charming boutique hotel in a fabulous location. I highly recommend it.

Room was very dark! Elevator broke down one day (had to walk 5 flights of stairs). Cut our stay short by one day due to French National Transportation strike (we couldn't risk missing our cruise). I requested refund of last day due to unforeseen circumstances and the hotel refused, saying I booked non-refundable. As a comparison, our airline (United) was accommodating and allowed us to change our flight without penalty.

Overall we had a really good stay at The Kimpton. Unfortunately our first impression was not great (and you only get one chance to make a first impression!). We arranged a hotel car to collect us from the airport. Usually, in other hotels elsewhere, we find that the hotel is expecting our arrival as the driver calls ahead and gives them an ETA. We think this happened, although we don't speak French and so we're not sure. We arrived, there was no doorman and no luggage porter anywhere near the front door. The driver unloaded our bags and left them on the pavement, making no attempt to assist us into the lobby. We struggled in to the hotel with our multiple cases and, although greeted with warm 'hello's' no one actually came to help. This may sound a bit silly, and entitled, and yet by the time we got to the front desk we were a bit deflated. I only really mention this because the rest of our interaction with the staff, be it reception, concierge, housekeeping or restaurant, was great and so this is really a bit of constructive feedback for the management to see whether the 'first impression' can be improved. As I said, we were really happy with our stay after that. It's a lovely comfortable hotel and we'd recommend it to others and stay there again.
