It was fine and will be better. Was construction going on during my stay that caused some of inconvenience, such as having to use the back door for one of the days. Staff was very helpful.

My room was quiet on top floor,but my friends’s room on 1St floor was noisy. I’m ok with stairs but there are a stairs to enter properly & then lift for rooms. We thought it was good value for money & staff efficient, rooms clean. Near old town & station & felt very safe area

We stayed for two nights. Walkable from Zurich HB. Very accessible to city transport. The room was good. Although they do not provide kettle. Beds were good. Washroom were up to date. Limited and repeating breakfast options but it was good. Overall, the experience was great.

Repeat customer! love the location: 8 minutes from train station which itself has a 7 minute train to airport. Very good breakfast. There is also a COOP across the bridge 2 minutes walk.

Rooms are shown as "non-smoking" when we checked in our room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. The front desk was very helpful and moved us to another room (which was not yet ready, so we had to store our luggage a second time.) The second room was better but the bathroom still smelled of smoke. The first two floors were being renovated when we stayed in March 2024; I was not sure if the rooms we had been given were already renovated or not. They were both in very nice shape, except of course for the smoke.

Rally like the hotel. The room are simple, but very clean and large (for Zurich). Breakfast was good. Internet was good. They were 2 English Channel (CNN and BBC) on the TV. The hotel is 11 minutes walk (with luggages) to the train station counter. It is also very nicely located in the middle of the old town. Will come back.

I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times. Love the location and now welcomed the renovated room. It was really time for it. The room still smelled of the paint though. What I dont like its the price for a 2 star hotel . It used to be much more affordable, I could spend 2-3 nights, now only one

The room is big but really outdated. My room view was the trash in the backyard of a neighbor. Room was clean but the bathroom shower took at least 15 mins to get warm. The hotel has a very good location, next to Starbucks and walking distance to train and tram stations. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops around. Groceries like Coop is only 5 minute walk and Migros is right around the corner. The hotel staff is quite helpful- thank you, Lena Blum, for your patience in answering my questions! You are a great asset to the hotel. 5 stars to the hotel staff! So why the 2 stars? There is construction happening on the third floor, right above me. They start pounding and drilling at 7:15am. There was no warning whatsoever of the construction. For this inconvenience, the hotel shouldve at least given free breakfast for waking up guests this early.

The hotel is located in a perfect place. Easy assess to everything. It is bare bones for amenities. Nothing available for snacks or drinks. No help with luggage up several stairs. The office staff was less friendly on this stay; suggesting I go to the tourist information center at the train station instead of getting front desk information. The breakfast staff remain friendly and upbeat.

Location, Location, Location. 5-minute walk from main Zurich train station and right next to old town area with easy walking or very frequent tram service and lots of places to eat and shop. Fine small restaurant in same building that when we tried walking in (on a Thursday) was full but they promised (and did) call our room as soon as a table was ready. You have to walk up (with luggage) a flight of stairs to check in and the room, while clean and reasonably sized was as probably set up in the 1960s. No lobby, just a small area to check in and then use a small elevator to the rooms. Basic and not fancy. But still a good value for the price as compared to other places with this good a location.

Good economical choice in central Zurich. Clean, well-managed, central location, good surroundings. The room was very basic, but clean. Housekeeping was regular and thorough. Common room was small but pleasant.

I would recommend this hotel. Pros: so close to old town. Perfect location. Staff were wonderfully friendly. Room was what I expected. Cons: I had a hard time sleeping because of noise from the street. Not the hotel’s fault, but someone yelling outside at midnight woke me up and I couldn’t fall back to sleep two nights in a row. Particularly hard when I had jet lag.

Good location, but too loud
The hotel was a good value and a nice location. Everything was fine except for the noise level from the street and funicular that went right by the window. Unless you are planning on getting up very early, the noise is a problem. I would recommend this hotel if you definitely do not get room 18 or one near it. My sister had a room that had no noise issues.
That is how close the tram was to the window.

Good place for solo traveller, I didn't give much problem reaching early as they allow me to store my luggage as the check in time was much later. They also allow me 5onuse the lounge to get my phone charge and get myself ready before moving off.

Walking distance from the main train station. The down side of this hotel is that you need to walk up some steps before you can reach their reception. Not so convenient whdd we n you have heavy luggages.

Ideally located in the center of the city--a few minutes' walk from the train station and across the street from the tram to and from the airport-- the hotel is a great base of operations for a first Zurich visit. The bathrooms are small, and it would be nice if the hotel orovided a hot pot and cups for the occasional cup of tea or coffee. The continental breakfast is an extra charge --15 francs--but the offerings are good, including fresh fruit and breads, hard boiled eggs, and overnight granola.
