Great Location, lovely room (Superior), breakfast was excellent as was all the service. Drinks around the open fire in lobby was perfect after a day on the slopes.

Very comfortable room, with a small balcony facing the a small river, very nice bathroom and good forniture. The bed wasn't too comfortable, a bit hard for my taste, but alright for few days. As a suggestion for the hotel owners, the minibar was way too expensive, even abusive, mainly the mini wine bottle. Also, the lack of a kettle in the room made us feel less welcome.

Very enjoyable stay at the Tirolerhof. Many amenities. Iacutlaye room and public areas. Superb ncluded breakfast buffet with wide variety of items, including cooked to order omelettes. Free guest card included free local bus transport and some discounts on local attractions

The property is in a very quiet location (no passing traffic). a few minutes walk and you are in the centre of town and the coach station. Regular busses to the Schmitten and Sonnenalm gondolas. Once you up top wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. The staff is so very helpful and professional. Living in Spain it was wonderful to be by the lake and enjoy the flowers on the Balcony.

Unfortunately,the weather was not good (rain),staff was polite, amable but not warm( as before ,many years ago),breakfast good ,not excellent.Maybe Zell am See is better destination for winter holydays, in summer you risk to have bad time during a short stay (under one week)

Such a great place to stay, the service and hospitality is wonderful. The restaurant is outstanding, top notch service and cuisine, their chef is amazing! I would very much stay here again on my next trip to Zell am See.

Superior comfort, but disappointing cuisine
The hotel has a good location in the centre of Zell am See, and we were very happy with the comfort of our room. It was spacious, with excellent bathroom facilities and large, comfortable bed. The only downside was that, as there is no means to cool the room other then opening the windows, we had to keep them open all night and we were kept awake by noise from the road outside. This would not be a problem in Winter, but a cooling system in Summer would help a lot. We were on full-board in the hotel and both the breakfast buffet and set 4-course meal at night were generous. However, the quality of the food for the latter was not great and each evening left us a bit disappointed. If we could have eaten elsewhere, I would give this hotel a rave review, but its food lets it down. A big positive is the friendly and professional service, especially in the restaurant.

Amazing hotel in stunning location
This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. It has a beautiful traditional style with a high standard of interior. The room was spacious with lots of lovely touches. The pool was an added bonus after a hot day of sightseeing and it is clear all the team work hard to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There is a wonderful calm atmosphere encouraging you to linger and enjoy the facilities and loads of additional extras including a welcoming drink, much appreciated after a train journey, complimentary afternoon snacks- delicious and plentiful and a beautiful recipe book as a leaving gift. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. I only wished we stayed longer.

Hotel beautiful, ...staff v pleasant, ...spa facilities excellent, BUT......a big disappointment with the food ! This was our 3rd time staying in the Torolerhof as we were delighted with every aspect of the hotel on previous visits. This time...we seen a huge deterioration in variety, presentation and standard of food.. Apparently the chef they had, left last October, and to quote a member of staff... “it has been catastrophic “. Eg: salad buffet served up cold baked beans for starter with lettuce and tomato etc. (Salads , SAME every night and v basic). NOT the standard of food we associated with this hotel. One evening was a “Meat buffet” and we thought, this would be better, but were astounded to find 4 varieties of meat all piled into one stainless steel roasting dish together ..covered with a piece of tin foil which the chef lifted on and off as he asked...what would you like? He then hoaked through the jumble of meat till to found what you asked for...and proceeded to cut a slice for you on a grotty looking cutting board. The plates were cold, and the skin, bones and cut offs from meat were thrown into a container sitting on serving counter right under your nose where your food was served. All in all, sorely disappointed with our dining experience in a hotel that we associated with excellence of food.

Great spa in a lovely village resort
I came to Tiroler Hof with my family about 6 times but hadn't been for about 8 years! It's a lovely hotel and the spa is a fab way to unwind after skiing. The ski bus is a few minutes walk that goes frequently to the Smittenhohe bahn. The room is spacious and clean, shower's a little on the small side and twin beds pushed together to make a double. The food was great, fab salad buffet. We were placed in the extension for our first few nights, felt a bit out of the way there. Staff friendly, and would go back. We squeezed in a 4 night break with 3 days skiing flying into Salzburg and would do it again.

Lovely friendly family run hotel
Arrived early afternoon and met with a welcome drink. Very friendly, helpful staff and nothing too much trouble. The family were also 'hands on' as we stayed during the Christmas period. Situated close to the centre, the hotel is very well run, has a cosy feel and would love to go back. Meals were also very generous and well prepared.

Congratulations Familie Posch!
You have much to be proud of!! We appreciated all the little touches that the owners provided, from the handwritten welcome note from the family to the wonderful cookies as we checked out. Although we do not know them, they made us feel part of their family for one night. The room was fine, very clean and well appointed. What would really bring us back for another stay would be the restaurant. A huge applause to the Chef and team for creating such an elegant and delicious dinner buffet. It was such high quality that we voted it our best meal in Austria...a rating we would rarely give to a buffet. Familie Posch, you have much to be proud of!

Friendly hotel with excellent food
This is a lovely hotel near the centre of Zell am See. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with good modern bathrooms and a balcony. There is a nice pool and spa area - with massage jets that are just right after a long walk. What makes this hotel special is the staff - they are responsive and friendly and simply can't do enough to make your stay comfortable. You get the impression that they all enjoy working there. I was also impressed by the standard of the food and the organisation which makes everything run as smoothly as clockwork.

Nice hotel in a lively resort town. The hotel is back about a block from the water so depending on your room there may not be a view. Quieter though than being right on the water. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar are great. The food was very good. We had a room in the newer wing which was a little small but it was clean and had everything we needed. Had a small balcony.

Amazing hotel, staff, facilities and meals. We stayed in one of their luxury modern room and they are simply perfect with huge separate bath and shower. The lovely Italian waitress (Roberta if I remember well) took care of us during meals and was always attentive, polite and friendly. The location is perfect and i cannot recommend it enough for a stay in beautiful zell am see.

A great choice in the middle of Zell am See
Pre-arrival I arranged various things with the hotel, parking spot reservation, ski instructor etc. All was very well handled and arranged. Upon arrival you could tell you were expected, suitcases were whisked up to the room and we were left to enjoy prosecco while completing the registration form. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner during our stay and met pretty much everyone that works in this family business. Professional, polite with a genuine smile. All our requests were met with no hassle. The spa is extensive and an added bonus. The real treat is the location...5' walk from the CityXpress Lift to all the skiing and no more than a 5' bus ride to the Schmittenhohe lift station for the rest of the slopes. As far as the town and its amenities, right on your door step. Zell am See is a perfectly organised ski resort. Hotel Tirolerhof made that much more perfect!

Lovely hotel - fine dining
Hotel offered half board stay. Buffet breakfast and 4 course fine dining meals every night. Food was hit and miss, but this was through no fault of the chef, but depended on your palate. Hotel is walking distance to the centre, the lake and Zell am See station. Spa facilities were a bonus after the skiing sessions - to soak the pain away for beginners like myself. Bathrobes, slippers, towels and a rucksack for hiking journeys were made available for use during the duration of your stay. Staff were really friendly and had an overall enjoyable experience.

**Best Hotel in Zell am see**
We've just arrived back in the uk after an amazing stay at the Tirolerhof, situated in the heart of zell am see but located just a few hundred yards out of town on a quiet street. Most nights we had the balcony windows open all we could hear was the sound of the stream outside, bliss! The room was very clean, modern Austrian style, very cosy after a long day on the slopes, also great bath to soak your sore muscles! The citi xpress is a 5 min walk, shuttle available in the morning if needed. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful with any questions we had. We enjoyed a great buffet breakfast in the morning, cake in the afternoon if we fancied and a varied set menu in the evening, we enjoyed the opportunity to try something new each evening, you definitely don't go hungry! I seriously couldn't fault a thing at Tirolerhof it was my first ever ski holiday and first time in Austria, we couldn't have chosen a better hotel to stay in.

A very nice traditional Tirol Hotel
AIf yoh are looking gor a budget hotel this traditional Austrian Tirol Hotel will not dissapoint, with excellent atmospheric lounge areas and bar, great food in restaurant and very attentive staff and all right in the centre of Zell one street from fhe lake.

A quality establishment in a beautiful town
The location is quant, just off the main road. Walking distance from the bus stop and 2mins cab ride from train station. Old world charm and a sense of history. we were given a room upgrade, and our room was in the newly restored section of the hotel. Decently sized, comfortable beds, great sized bathrooms. Reception was fairly helpful as they obtained a print out of a boarding pass when requested for the same. The only downside was the dinner service, on the first day we waited for 10mins to be seated, and we're told firmly by one of the staff to "wait". For vegetarians there is only token choice, the meals offered are no way close to the non veg ones in terms of variety/taste, salads were the saviour. Breakfast was great though and a wide array of choices. Pool and sauna area well maintained. Overall a quality establishment, and well worth staying, but a bit more warmth in the service would take this review to 5stars.

Messed up booking - Good resolution
I was booked into this hotel, but they messed up with my online reservation. Initially they offered me their sister hotel, which was nowhere near as good. I made them aware that I wasn't happy and they booked me a lovely room in the Grand Hotel. Good customer service.
