The apartment on the first floor (one above ground floor), was cozy but well designed and comfortable, with a separate living room/kitchen as well as a second bed in a loft above (which we didn't use). Everything seemed new and clean and the kitchen had everything we could want for our two night stay given that we didn't cook and only had breakfast (although I never did find a microwave).
Since this was on the first floor in the middle of old town, our view was a wall about 8 feet across the street. While the apartment was light, it never got any direct light and we had no view except the wall. There was also no elevator, so we had to carry our bags from the street up one long flight of stairs.
What would have been very helpful were written directions about several things. Most importantly, since the apartment is in a pedestrian only area we could not drive to, it would have been great to receive in advance very clear directions about where to park and how to walk to the apartment. Instead, we exchanged several calls and texts and asked locals as we got near.
It would also have been nice to have written directions for the appliances, especially the coffee maker (which stopped working after two cups of coffee) and a guide to TV stations (there were more than a thousand, but most didn’t work and I found only one in English).
