"The hotel building itself is beautiful and has a charming colonial style, which was the main highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the property is in desperate need of a major renovation and update.
The furniture throughout the hotel, including the lobby and restaurant, appears extremely old and worn. It honestly made us wonder if any of it has ever been replaced. Our room felt outdated, and the bathroom was very small, making it difficult to even close the door comfortably.
We also noticed a strong sewer or drainage odor that was unpleasant during our stay. Upon arrival, we found that the bedding cover was dirty and had to request a replacement. The staff handled the issue politely and were friendly throughout our visit, which we appreciated.
The complimentary breakfast was another disappointment. There were only a few options available, very limited variety, and only one fruit choice (watermelon). There was no cereal, very little bread selection, and overall not enough choices to justify staying for breakfast. We ended up eating at a restaurant outside the hotel instead.
While the staff was courteous and the colonial architecture is attractive, the hotel needs a significant remodel, updated furnishings, improved room conditions, and a better breakfast offering. In its current condition, it did not meet our expectations"
