"Hotel is virtually brand new: the hotel complex opened only two years ago. Location is excellent with the subway system (and the accompanying stores and restaurants) within an easy five minute walk. There’s even an 7-eleven super conveniently next to the lobby, and its entrance doesn’t require exposure to the brutal elements at the peak of winter and summer. Rooms are well insulated from noise and thermal extremes. Staff are wonderfully polite and accommodating. Highly recommended. 10 out of 10."

Option 1: Balanced & Professional (Recommended) While the hotel facilities are great and the location is excellent—just a short walk to Sapporo Station, supermarkets, and convenience stores—I cannot recommend staying here due to the poor customer service. The check-in staff were very unfriendly. In contrast, the dining staff were much more welcoming, especially the lovely lady checking the guest list at the restaurant entrance. As for the room, the queen room was quite spacious, but the carpet was old and looked dirty. Additionally, the price felt expensive, especially with an extra charge of ¥900 per person per night. Given the cold reception at the front desk, there are better accommodation choices in Sapporo."

"We’re returning guests and was quite dissatisfied when two times needed information from front desk and no one could speak English. They tried their best to accommodate with talking into their tablet for translation, but not the same as speaking to a person directly. Also noticed since our last stay, the room seemed smaller because of the furo type bath area. It’s a novelty but I personally prefer a larger living room area. Just my opinion, would have been rated all excellent. We enjoyed our stay overall."

"Stayed at Keio Plaza Hotel for several of my trips to Sapporo . Over the last 10 years the room and service standard levels appeared to have deteriorated slightly somewhat (this is generally the case for almost all the establishments now) . Hotel is in a convenient location , clean and top notch and car rental office is just at the Lobby area."
