All the facilities in this hotel were very clean, operational, and fantastic to use. In particular, the staff in this hotel were absolutely amazing. They were the most friendly and welcoming people that we have ever met, especially the staff in the restaurants. The food served was very fresh and delicious as well. My room was very spacious and clean. There were superb private onsens in the hotel. It was very easy to communicate with the hotel staff in English. Would absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Yufuin.

I could have booked any other accommodation with an onsen but I’m so glad I chose Yadoya for its exceptional service and delectable kaiseki meals. The private outdoor onsens were beautiful with the backdrop of autumn foliage on Mt Yufu. Parking was plentiful. Our stay here was easily the highlight of our 2 week Kyushu roadtrip.

Clean and cozy place to stay. Very friendly staff and things such as private bath, kaiseki dinner course, table tennis, massage chairs for visitors are well organized. 2-3 min walk to Yufuin’s main street. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to stay in Yufuin.

We did not know what to expect really and loved it. The staff is incredibly kind, the room was nice, so many nice touches welcomed us: yukata and kimonos, access to the onsen, plenty of little gifts, delicious japanese breakfast for such a good price. This place is a gem. Highly recommended if you plan on staying in Yufuin. And truly, Yufuin is a very nice place too. Far from the crazy big cities, a lot of charm and character. Very cute little place to rest and recharge.

Very happy to stay in this hotel. Recommend to take taxi to reach the hotel even though It's just about 8-10 mins from Yufuin station. Nice dinner. Excellent service. High privacy. It's good to experience private bath there (need to book in advance). Worth for the price. Will definitely come again next time.

Pros: Excellent facilities. Private hotspring is awesome. Free to reserve each 50 mins at night and in the morning. Various yukata (bathrobe) can be chosen by female customers. Convenient location, 10 mins walking distance to Kinrin Lake. Staff is super nice and polite. Nice welcome gift. Room is spacious and clean, we get free upgrade to superior room. The environment is beautiful and cosy. Unforgettable dinner, fine appetiser and delicious sukiyaki. Worth to try the breakfast as well. Cons: Need to reserve the private hotspring earlier as it is limited

Wonderful stay at Yufuin Yawaraginosato Yadoya
Love the stay at Yufuin Yawaraginosato Yadoya. Hotel is walkable distance from the train station and near to the shops. The hotel staff were very friendly and we got to try the 3 private hot springs. Pretty yukata is available for rent free for female occupants.

Baby friendly onsen
It’s comfortable but really showing its age. Chose this because I have a one year old which really cannot and shouldn’t enter public baths. And this place has several family baths available. Breakfast isn’t the usual buffet type , but the traditional Japanese type. Loved it.

A great place to stay
The staff are wonderful and speak English which is great. The rooms are large with high ceilings and have 2 beds. I recommend getting breakfast there as well it is delicious and served in a room with a lovely view of the mountains. They have 3 nice private outdoor baths that can be reserved. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the main shopping street and a 20 minute walk or 7 minute taxi from the station. They even gave me some gifts! I have stayed here several times and will return again if I am in Yufuin.

Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent too. The only drawback was we were informed check-in was at 15:00 so we went there around 14:50 and only to find out that the private hot spring has nearly been fully booked. Only time was really late at night or earliest morning (5:30 am!!!). Went to public bath instead which was quite good too. Area was relatively quiet so staying a night to revive your soul is a good idea :)

Wonderful Onsen Experience
The small onsen hotel is conveniently located just a short 3 min walk to the main strip of the shopping street or a 10 min walk to the Yufuin train station. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful gentleman at check-in and he was thorough in explaining everything we needed to know for our 1-night stay. At time of check-in, we made booking for dinner time and reserved our spots of using the private onsen baths. Each of us received a small gift and that was a nice touch. There are 3 private onsen baths that guests can book twice a day, once in the evening and once in the morning. As we only stayed for one night, we were able to experience two out of the three private baths. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend anyone booking into the hotel to also include the optional dinner and breakfast as food quality and presentation was truly top-notch and authentic Japanese! The terrific dinner menu includes a half-lobster salad and wagyu beef sukiyaki. Very delicious indeed! Our room 302 on the third floor is large in size that features two twin beds with a tatami sitting area. The room is clean and everything is in good working condition. The décor is a little dated but very comfortable. If time permits, I would recommend a short 5-7 min walk to the beautiful Kinrin Lake early in the morning. I would love to return to this hotel! The only negative experience was that I left my portable charger in the room. Well, it's all my own fault!

Great hotel with superb staffs
I stayed in this hotel with my family in Aug. The location is good, it takes few minutes to main street and about 15 minutes to station. Our room 301 is spacious and clean. The private onsen is excellent but you need to book it in advance. The staffs are nice and helpful. We enjoy our stay very much.

Wrong choice, better choose another hotel
The reception staff was not friendly and unhelpful. Check out time is 10am which is ridiculous and no fusion bed making service - I had to make the fusion on my own. I’ve been stayed in many onsen hotels and this was the first time with self service fusion bed making. We’ve been allocated to a handicapped room which I didn’t understand as the hotel is not full and the total no of guests stayed on the day was no more than 8 people. No amenities at the onsen and the facility is outdated. With this price I would definitely choose other hotel.
