"This is a second tome we stayed at the hotel. First time was four years ago and it was quiet boutique hotel, now it's in process of expansion. We love the place and would come back. I included the negative responce about it to inform, not to deter. The highlights: You can walk to the river, it's a short hike, and swim in there, very beautiful spot to take photos. "The Lodge was spectacular and the staff friendly, professional, and helpful. Within hours of arrival, they knew our names. The room was large, private, clean and very comfortable with a large deck overlooking the rainforest, a huge bathroom and our own private hot tub. We did many activities through the lodge (hiking, yoga, night walk, bird watching tour) and the guides were excellent. The food was delicious and very fresh. Each dish was beautifully plated and generous. 5 stars!"

"This was our first night in Costa Rica. We picked to stay here to split the drive to la fortuna and to be able to stop at Rio Celeste. It’s close to Rio Celeste. The town itself seems abanded. The owner of this property is very sweet. The area is loud, close to the road and constantly hearing traffic. The cabin type room has a large portable fan which was great. Shower works well. "We had the deluxe bungalow, it was very clean, spacious and private. Very safe place that is just outside the small town of Bijagua. Can get pretty windy at night which is normal in the mountains, I am a sensitive sleeper so earplugs and eye covers recommended to help you get a good nights rest. Reasonable price for a pretty cute place with friendly prompt service and nice breakfast. About 20-30min drive from Tenorio National Park to see Rio Celeste. "
